So I'm here. AMA?

Serially, drove up from the Valley of the Sun this morning, arriving at Bally's around 1:30 local. Did I pass ec_outlaw on the 93? Maybe.

Queue up some Tea Leaf Green (Looking West) or Spafford - Live from Las Vegas for atmosphere. I listened to both on the way up.

Drive up was quick. Just about 4 hours. No issues. Early check-in for $15 was well worth it, based on the line I just saw downstairs
One issue was I only booked 1 night (???) so I used Ivy (their AI driven text concierge) to extend my stay. Pretty easy, actually. Hate the job loss to technology, but it was pretty convenient.

Aside, my room did not have towels - wash clothes and hand towels but no bath towels. So I called, and waited on hold for 10+ minutes? After about a minute on hold, I texted Ivy "I need towels". Both ivy and housekeeping answered at the same time, and both specifically asked I remove the DND so they could deliver towels. Pretty funny really.

After checking in, and dropping off food/drinks in the room, I head over to the Bellagio for a taste of the pokers. I blow $20 on VP waiting on my seat after placing a couple of bets (LOL $20 units). Soon enough, the call my name for $2-5, and I buying in for $400.

A set of sixes on a mostly Broadway board puts me over $500.

Action Dan Harrington sits down at our little 2-5 game for a few minutes, and soon we tangle (LOL not really). He opens middle position to $15, folds to me on the button, and I see AKos. I make it $45 to go, and I believe the blinds and DH call. Maybe only SB and DH call. $135ish in the pot. Flop comes AJ2 rainbow and it checks to me, I c-bet $45 (too small but I was distracted with ordering drinks) only SB calls. Turn Q full rainbow checks thru. River is the mostly brickish 9, K10 gets there which I block, checks to me and I... Check, showing top top. MHIG vs A10, and I scoop a $225 pot. Dan leaves for the 10/20 (??) game, and our table breaks 4 handed (5 w/walker) I book a $180 win in about an hour.

Channeling my inner Trooper, I hit Dirt Dogs and drop $15 on a dog n fries, which was pretty damned good.

Wow, I wouldn't have recognized Harrington. But then I don't pay enough attention to people at the table. I was 2 players away from the Trooper for half and hour before I noticed.

Ran into the wall at the Flamingo. In for $400, out for $114. Let the maniac bluff me off my hand, and then every other time, he's got it. Good game sir. Kevin (PK) was super nice to chat with, and dealt me AA and KK and they both held.

Found they were installing this full size electronic craps table at the Flamingo. Not sure how it plays, but it was interesting to look at.

Put $40 into the $5 min craps machine back at Bally's. Out for $60, book the win!

Crashing now. Prolly hit the Orleans $200 25k guaranteed in the morning.

I saw one of those craps tables at Planet Hollywood. Best I could tell it operates like bubble\video craps but with someone throwing actually dice. 16-20 individual screens around the table where each person buys in and does their betting. So chipless craps I guess. While the regular table had a $15-$25 min, this was $5 when I saw it.

Kind of a cool idea. Some people feel intimidated handling chips/cards/dice at table games. I'm sure the casinos love it as now there is one less employee to pay.

Dusted off my $60 ticket having coffee this morning (-$40) plus a $7 coffee from Paris Pizzeria. Pretty bad coffee, too.

Bought into the Orleans 25k. Hoping to make good decisions and for some run-good. Put a $20 parley on the the "home teams" in today's CWS action. Also have that Suns bet for tonight.

Found this newer craps machine at the Orleans, also. Very dangerous. No waiting, no countdown. You have your own private dice. I could destroy a bankroll with this.

Now enjoying a fine stromboli from Sbarro's.

Now at second break, table make-up has changed completely. Only 3 of us left from original table. I'm doing well.

I don't need a place to bet, I need a bet to make. VGK against the spread? Money line? Some kind of parley?

Out at the Orleans, around 35th in the 11th level. Had maybe 110k at the top, good for 50ish BBs. Last level I couldn't connect with a flop to save my life. Just bled chips until I finally got 99, raised and called the shove by KK. Board paired twice but it didn't matter.

Now I'm back at Bally's wondering what to do/where to go for my final night. Probably head to the Bellagio to watch/cash my winning Suns ticket and play some more of the pokers.

Anyone know what this under construction, looks like it's behind the high roller off strip?
