finally leaving the international and online world and doing my first forays into USA brick and mortars

only have players cards for MGM, and penn

despite only having "advantage tier" on penn, when I check the rewards app, I see basically everywhere but vegas I can stay up to 4 nights in a row at all their regional casinos 100% free and weekends are quite affordable

this feels surprising to me, is this just the reality and I can freely book free rooms so long as I continue to play while there at a similar level or are these going to be used up and burnt out ie I only get 4 weekday rooms all year etc

is there anyway to get a clear grasp of what is available to me and how to best exploit it

I don't want to leave value on the table, but also don't want to draw too much attention in the process because everything I am doing is +EV sports betting or AP play

would appreciate any input, these are all new waters for me - will definitely start using up some of the free rooms this summer as I drive out west, but also, if I book this week and they'll still be free again next week or next month then I'll definitely start booking more often

also, I have a similar play at MGM but when I check the room comps for them it seems I need to pay full price - is this just variance or does MGM tend not to comp as much - like it'll still cost me $200+ a night to stay at their hotel in Springfield (they even charge resort fees there wtf) which feels crazy because I can stay at a place across the street for like half that and they don't even have the incentive for me to gambool it up with them

probably going to get flamed for posting this because I could have found the answer on post #6173 of a 12 year old thread but here's giving it the old college try

Its fairly simple to go on a casino status match merry go round.

The points and miles guys figured this out a while back to get a ton of free cruises.
While collecting statuses they often have stuff like free comps built in such as celebration dinners.
Most offer free nights as well as free food and no resort fees.

Here is a basic article.

i guess what i should really be asking is should I ask them directly what my free room quota is etc or will that be worse than just using rooms and hoping they are still more available later?

I always recommend making as many future reservations as you can when you're getting comp offers if there's a decent chance you end up using them. Worst case you just cancel them. Offers can disappear and marketing often doesn't know what the casino side is doing.

A recent trend I've noticed is that casinos have gotten more vigilant about revoke/reduce offers if they don't think you're playing up to them. Mirage is notorious for this; they will cut your weeklies off in the middle of the month if they see fit. I remember certain places I used to no-play offers for the better part of a year and still get them, those days might be behind us for the most part.

hey Rick , have lived in either mgm/boyd/circa/station properties for the past couple years with a combo of slots/sports/poker (not necessarily in that order)

there is a method to the madness ,I don't know how much of it I can share on a public forum but there are methods to toggle them and maximize them.

one trick for mgm properties is that if they comp you 4 nights a week , there is a 3 day waiting period , so you can do 4 comp nights (i do Friday til Tuesday usually) then do the following Friday til Tuesday and then pay for those middle 3 days , so basically 8 comped and 3 paid for , then you go to another brand (cet/boyd/etc) for the middle 3 days (tues-friday) and rinse repeat . I am near the end of that road as me and my girl are going to move into an apartment mid May so I can grind 2024 with a home base , but that is one trick to Do. being gold/platinum at mgm is key to not pay resort fees .

also ,they reset offers usually at midnight of first of month as far as I can tell.

solid advice. me and a buddy found a must hit by 10k machine and put some real volume in (we took a super low loss) but I was able to book 3 months worth of rooms with awesome dining credit just on that when they accounted for that.

That's really good. CET only lets you do 3 reservations at a time.

you can do more. you just have to call them in after you did your 3 online.

I forget though if it was through the regular numbers at the Philippines or the Vegas direct diamond number .(877) 716-4500
