+1 for the good pool, really really enjoyed my stay there, the room i had was decent and very good price. food was crap, but location was ideal for walking to the wynn and venetian, i would deff stay again, just a shame they got rid of the small poker room.

Casino Royale also has White Castle and Cinnabon.

I think what you posted is pretty dead on the money and it's up to you and what you are planning to do while in Vegas.

The walk to Ellis Island late is a bit sketchy at times. Just really depends. Other than that, you're onto something.

Casino Royale is a great location and the rooms were comfortable.

Casino Royale was my place to say during the wsop back in the days. A 3 week stay would cost me $1300 back then. Great location on the strip. Has a subway, Ben and Jerry ice cream shop, $5 craps with 20x, free drinks while gambling, free parking. What more could a degenerate ask for?

So casino Royale had the downtown vibe on the strip?

Unless room quality has gone down a lot in the last few years TI is among the best quality hotels after all the tier I properties and often times priced very competitively - who cares about food selection within a specific joint when you have dozens of properties and restaurants around ...

T.I. (fka Treasure Island) used to have a great Skull sign. That's gone, arrrrrgg. Nevertheless, it is in a class way above both Ellis Island and Casino Royale on ALL counts, except food quality. TI is a hotel casino with a pool and a good sized casino floor. It is right near other properties you might want to visit, close enough to park there when going to big events across the street at the V like conventions. Room specials are often astonishingly inexpensive. It does have the most expensive Starbucks in the World out front.

I have never stayed at the other two, but have patronized both for food and meeting with friends.

Ellis Island has popularity among locals for comfort food, BBQ ribs and beer socializing, but its location is a real issue if you plan on walking around at night. That walk to the Strip can become a real drag during the day but is chancey at night. If you plan on ubering, then that minus drops away.

Casino Royale has its Strip location going for it, that's all, but that is a lot.

I agree with this. It's no contest. The pool is much smaller than most of the other Strip casino pools, but it's a legitimate hotel, and not sketchy at all. If you're into the Venetian for poker or restaurants, it's a short walk. Wynn isn't too far either.

IMO TI is usually the best value on strip so I tend to stay there a lot.

Ellis Island has had construction out front for over a year. It's supposed to be over by September.

My fiancee and I stay there the most. Good location, and they are pretty generous with comp offers. We usually can get 3 free room nights plus $150 slot credit, valid on weekends, and they waive the resort fees. Free parking.

What kind of gambling do you do there to earn that?

I used to mostly play poker, and some blackjack, and I got zip.

T.I unfortunately closed their poker room ...used to be such a great place to stay.

Easy access to poker at V and Wynn though.


Some VP, usually $3.50-$5 a spin very occasionally $7.25 a spin. Slots now and again, usually penny slots that are $2.50-$5 a pull.
