Man I wish I hadn't deleted those pics; they're well and truly gone now bc I don't have the originals.

I've had those runs, maybe 3 or 4 times. For example 4 hot shooters in a row, lasting 90 minutes total, and 2 of the shooters were me. But I was just starting to go to casinos and betting $3 at a time, so the actual money I won was small. But the boxmen (yes, we had 2 because there was so much action) were literally shaking their heads and said they'd never seen such a succession of rolls.

I know it was unlikely to have so many hot rolls, and it sure won't happen again, so the only craps I've played since then involved $1 bets and a voice imploring me to push the button.

Yeah, and at some point you play enough and you realize one 90 min roll >>> than 3 x 30 min rolls. As in, exponentially better.

I think the two best rolls I was ever part of-
1. I started with a 30$ 6 and 8. The shooter was just abusing all of the numbers, and the 6 and 8 went 60-90-120-180-240-300-360. Once both of them got to 360 and they hit I said, "screw it" and just jumped to 600 (table max). Both of those came in, and I took a 50$ 5 and 9. Both came in again and I bought 4 and 10 for 50$ each as well. By the end of the roll, I had a 200$ 4, a 100$ 5, 6 and 8 maxed at 600$, 9 was at 200$, and 10 was at 100$. I can't imagine what would have happened had I covered all the numbers from the get go, but I'm sure I would have been at table max on all of them. That was almost a 10K roll and was only 45 min long.

2. At the Stratosphere, also only 45 min long. Straightforward, bet the line with 10x odds behind, I think I started with 5/50$. Come bet, max odds. Started with two numbers working. As numbers started to come in, I first moved to 3, then 4, then I had the perpetual come bet out there once all the numbers got covered.

From there, I moved to 10$ w/100$ behind. Once most of the numbers came in/were covered, moved to 15$ w/150 behind. Repeat with 25 w/250$. I don't remember the sequence exactly but I know I skipped over 20 w/200$ behind because the math just seemed easier to go straight to 25$. I never came close to covering all the numbers with 25/250, but a 25$ 4 w/ full odds did come in and I remember they had stacks of purple (500$) out just for me, and the dealer paid me a green and purple when then 4 came in. The shooter 7'd out soon after. I think that was a near 10K roll also- I was terrified walking to the cage and the parking garage LOL.

I've always said if I had a 90 min roll, the way I bet/the exponential growth, I'd walk away with 6 fig minimum. Seeing as how I realized I'd never SEE a 90 min roll, I gave up

they do come, I was part of a 1 hour roll, it was an amazing feeling starting with lunch money and ending with a 5 figure score. the only reason I won so much was we made them all in short time so i knew i had a nice amount locked up, so was able to press much more than usual

btw, absolutely loved this and your previous threads, thanks for taking the time to share them with everyone

On my 90 minute deal I rolled for 30 min, couple shooters later rolled for 20 min, couple shooters later rolled for 20 min, then I rolled again for 20 min. Tons of numbers the whole way. The rest of the table was a junket bus full of senior citizens. They all had name tags, lol. Not a single shark on the table. There were two full crews working the table, but we were all betting 3 and 6 bucks at a time, sometimes only 2, the table minimum! You could see the boxmen sweating, but at the same time damn grateful none of knew what we were doing. After it was all over I was the last one coloring up and they laughed and said I should have won at least $100k and the table should have taken the house for at least half a mil. If you had been there you might have given up the medical profession afterward.

I've also had other 20 min rolls, rolled 6 sixes in a row, etc, etc. So many crazy rolls I've forgotten most of them. All before age 25. When I got older I realized how ridiculously improbable it all was.

The closest I've probably come to the roll of my life happened just before I walked into the Stratosphere one morning. I think I may have talked about it in a previous TR-

As may be apparent, I'm actually something of an early-morning gambler. I tend to want to get my gambling fix soon after I wake up. This isn't optimal for craps and having a fun table, but it does mean I can get on a table pretty much whenever I walk up. Anyways, I come up to a table and it is EMPTY. I ask the box (who knows me) what's going on and he says-

"you just missed it. Francisco had an hour roll". Francisco is a degen from Spain- he typically buys in for 10K at a time and covers the board. Goes broke very often, very quickly. Every once in a while, he kills it. Apparently he was at the airport and his late-night flight back to Spain got delayed, then cancelled. Tilted, he came back to the Stratosphere and started shooting by himself at around 6am.

Had the entire table to himself. 1 hour roll. That means...

"What was the damage?"

"He just took us for 100K".

Good god. He must have been betting small to ONLY win 100K with an hour roll. Here comes the box- "you would have killed it. He literally just cashed out a few min ago".

Now I'm super tilted- I wish I didn't know that. My life would have been better had I never known what I missed. Of course I buy in, play a bit and get crushed- so standard.

Oct 2016 interesting/cool hits

Continuing this ongoing TR- here are some of the more interesting and/or good hits from Oct. It's by no means all of the hits, but the majority weren't noteworthy enough to take a pic of. Overall, it was a pretty ****ty month- I've been trying to go less and reserve the majority of my play for Vegas every few months and this month I'm glad I did.

Thought this one fit the "interesting" bill... hold one deuce and pick up the other 3, plus an ace!

For these next 4 pics, on this day I was running really well. I was up 3k despite never hitting a hand pay. I decided to up my game a bit and play 40 lines (50$/push). The third hand in, I'm dealt this-

Come on machine! Still no dealt royal for my life, you can't put the ace up there one time for 40K? SO CLOSE!!!!

Anyways, I still have the draw, which ends up being this-

Spoiler:

So awful. Not one royal, and two hands on the wrong end (straight flush).

Man my heart was pounding from what could have been. Then, just a few hands later...

Spoiler:

WTFWTFWTFWTF. Again, so close!

I draw, and do a little better this time.

Here's another random hand out of nowhere-

Always nice when it shows up on the first line, big and beautiful. Got another one too, the combo of which made this pic worth taking.

A few frustrating UX hits...

AGH kicker comes in and this is a 4K hand!

OK seriously. You can't line up with the 8x multiplier?

Hands like this I find immensely frustrating. On the one hand, obv how nice to be dealt a monster. On the other hand, NOT ENOUGH MULTIPLIERS! And, I'd sure rather this hand at TDB, playing for 1$ credits, etc. So yeah, I was happy, but with that slight tinge of regret as well...

Long-term teaser- fortunately, Nov is off to an interesting start; very swingy and I'm not up much, but I did hit my 3rd largest single hit ever. The pic will come with the Nov recap.

Oct results- -6k
Bankroll- 17k
Lifetime dealt royals- zero
dealt quad aces, or quad 2,3,4 w/kicker- zero

Haven't built up the motivation to go and likely won't unless a great game, different than what Barona offers appears there and I hear about it. As all my comp is at Barona I'm not going to give another place my action for no reason. Also turned off by the drive

Regarding your 3k ticket with no handpay, I always find it fun to start with 500-1k and work my way up to a very high ticket. Once at Red Rock I ran up $500 to $5k with no taxables. The ticket wouldn't cash at the kiosk so I took it to the cage, cashier didn't believe a ticket could go that high lol.

leon you'll love this. UX spin poker, coming soon.

That's awesome. My record is 12k+ (bunch of small tickets that I consolidated into one giant one). No idea how much of that was my own money though, other than it was a winner.

I'm not sold on UX + spin- seems like the variance would be pretty F'ing high and spin on it's own isn't particularly exciting for me. We'll see- when it comes out and if I can find a goodpay table I'll give it a try.

A friend was grinding the LHE bot a few years ago playing 20/40 against it. This thing is super swingy and he always wanted to avoid having to go to the cage to cashout the ticket, so he would always get close to 3k and then put in a new buyin and keep the ticket to cashout at a machine later. One time he goes just barely over 3k and says "I'll play till I go under 3k" and a few hours later he cashes out 55k.

do you think this thing is beatable? I played quite a bit against it like half a year ago and it seemed to me it was playing pretty well.

That's a good run.

What's the LHE bot? I confess I'm ignorant. If it's beatable, it doesn't sound like something a casino would offer- is it?

It's a machine that plays HU LHE really well in a lot of major casinos. It takes no rake. It's been there a few years and it used to be insanely beatable because the casinos rated them like a slot machine. A few well known 2p2ers beat them for $250k+ because of all the points and comps it gives you. A friend was given a private jet ride back to Vegas because of his play on it. Most casinos figured out eventually that they shouldn't be comping on it but apparently there's still one left that gives points for it. It is a very very tough opponent but it's exploitable in a few spots.

OK, thanks. I figured it was something like that- a game with a small edge IF you factor all the other little things in.

Yeah, but you used to play 40, right? Might be worth giving it a try. The times I tried it, it was a calling and bluffing station except for times it would fold out of the blue. I didn't play it long enough to figure it out, plus I never played bigger than 8 anyway. I think this machine type also shows it's cards always.

edit: Oh wait, that was the heads-up machine. I heard those were removed in favor of a weird 6-max type of table.

If you can find a break even game with low variance, you can do quite well on the back end (goodies from the host, tournament entries that are only for high rollers, etc).

The strip casinos run a year long event for Christmas shopping points. Usually the crap they have is overpriced but if you're playing anyway, it's a nice addition to your return. Sometimes they run multiple point days for these things.

Somebody with a big enough bankroll to withstand the swings of this LHE game, or a $100 9/6 Jacks VP machine can do quite well on the strip. I've heard of stories of guys running ridiculous amounts of coin in on break even games and got Rolex watches as gifts from hosts.

Nov 2016 recap, part I

WOW. What a crazy month. I'll cut to the chase and get the biggest news out of the way first. The most important session of the month unfolded like so...

I went to my local casino and treaded water for about an hour. Then, I hit several small jackpots in rapid succession, nothing huge but collectively enough to put me up 3K for the day. I decided to gamble and stepped up to a 10$, single line machine (so "only" 50$/push, not that much higher than normal, but single line so a ton more variance). Whatever, go big or go home right?

I then proceed to hit 4 2's, but no kicker. 400 credits x 10 = 4K. Man, bring a kicker in and it's 20K!

I play on for a bit and hold steady- I hit enough small hands to not put a dime back in the machine, but I haven't hit any killer jackpots either. I'm getting tired and decide I'll leave soon regardless, so I take my money over to another machine...

Three lines. Triple Double Bonus. ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR CREDITS.

That's 1500$/push. I'm giving myself literally two pushes (potentially). LOL degen gamble.

First push, nothing. Get a pair on the redraw. Stuck 1K on this venture.

Second push, get dealt a pair of jacks. One line improves to trips (10 credits), +5 credits for this push, -500$ now.

Third push- I get dealt something. It's official- I don't have to work anymore.

Spoiler:

HOLY F'ING ****.
The deal of all deals!!!!!!!

4000 credits x 100$ = 400K per line, times 3 lines!

Never mind. I guess that was cruel of me, but it sure made for a good story with that pic, right? That's not mine, unfortunately, but the pic is real. I obtained it from someone else at the casino, when we traded pics on a day where I actually DID get dealt something sweet. He wanted a pic of my hit, then casually mentioned, "I've got a pic that was sent to me that will be the biggest thing you've ever seen, guaranteed...". I told him I wasn't sure. Then I saw the pic- yeah, he was right.

In any case, sorry for the tease (not really, you enjoyed it, admit it). Real update/rest of month coming soon- just wanted to lead off with a bang...

To be continued...
