Can you comment on perhaps the top three mistakes suckers make on JOB or DDB ultimate x. By mistakes I mean standard plays a person should make on the regular game but are really bad plays on ultimate x.
My gut says it mainly involves flush draw hands.
I have no idea, I don't consider myself an "expert" by any stretch of the imagination, just someone who doesn't make obv bad plays. One obv mistake would be breaking certain pat hands to go for ones that can turn into much higher ones "just bc" there are multipliers- so for instance being dealt 4422, and holding just one pair to potentially hit quads- but that's a mistake in regular VP too. I've seen many people break a pair of aces in TDB to go for 3 to a royal (basically breaking a made hand which has a 400:1 shot of turning into 4 aces AND can turn into 4000 to go for a 1000:1 shot at 4000). Obv an awful mistake, but a mistake with or without UX.
From what I understand, the multiplier dependent strategy is essentially impossible for mere mortals to learn and only improves your expectation by some fraction. I'd just play normally, don't sweat the close plays, and have fun.
