Yeah, when I think back on all the things gambling has paid for I'm well up. I just don't want to go broke (again).

As far as I know, all strip casino conditions are so bad that effectively one can't count. Doesn't matter for me anyways since I cordially despise blackjack. I will play it, if forced to by friends. Otherwise I'd rather just kick myself in the nuts and hand the casino some money, seems easier and less painful

That's my exit strategy. Maybe the games will get so bad I won't in good conscience be able to play them. 9/6 TDB is about as low as I'll go. Even thinking about 9/5 makes me SO angry.

You say that now, but when they do downgrade to 9/5, the devil leon on your shoulder will be whispering, "C'mon, play. AWAK is still 4000, and hey, at least it's not 8/5."

At least four months ago, The Cromwell still sported a few full pay (9-7) TDB VP terminals.

Single line quarter only does take a bite out of the fun, but the cocktail service is excellent.

Full pay single line quarters at the Cromwell? I'm suspicious.

There used to be a bank of two machines right across the main walkway from the entrance to Drais. I was in Vegas for the first weekend of March and they were not there. Maybe they moved?

Right, you can't reasonably make any headway towards Diamond on them. It would probably take 30 or 40 hours to make it.

Well, let's see...

Those machines, if they're even still there, were $50 a tier credit.

At $1.25 a pop, that's 40 hands to get one tier credit.

Assuming you can jam 800 hands an hour -- if the machines are even tuned to play that fast -- that's 20 tier credits an hour. At that rate it's impossible to achieve any of the daily tier credit bonuses.

So you're looking at about 750 hours to make diamond. Would not recommend.

The 9/5 triple play JoB at Bally's is probably the best bet for making diamond. Expected loss is like $750. That's only if you hit a royal though. Diamond in a day cost me $2800 until I hit a royal the next morning.

Fun little hand here, probably the most dramatic turnaround from a worthless hand I can recall.

Playing Super Times Pay and my first 4 cards come out J-9-3-6 and then on the last one the little multiplier comes out and gives me 5x. Always kinda annoying when it does it on a worthless draw, but I silently root for a J or 3. Get a 9 instead, OK sure, then turn the pair into quads on 2 of 3 lines. Gotta love those bolts from the blue!

Had a similar hand the other day; held 2 to a royal on 50-play, drew 2 royals.

In a way I'm peeved, because the odds of a dealt royal (which I've never gotten on multi-line) are probably better than what I just did.

Barona mini-report

So when I last left things, the plan was to take a break from the local. I was planning on taking a break in May and reevaluating in June.

Of course, I couldn't stay away the whole month- I went a total of three times and it was awful every time. Overall, I did gamble a lot less which I'm happy about, but I was still looking forward to today, AND cognizant that I was probably just delaying the inevitable (busto).

Today started off like garbage. Got real close to my stopping point, hit a few things, just enough to play more and get more frustrated. Blew that money and decided to hit the ATM, with the thought in my head that this might be the only time in JUNE that I go. Meh F it.

Played a bit more, then got back in the game with my first good dealt hand of any consequence in months-

Thank god. Need a good draw here.

Result-
Spoiler:

That gets me all the way back. I'm booking a win for the first time in months. Decide to go a little bigger... dealt quads, again.

Spoiler:

THE BIG DADDY OF THEM ALL!!!!!

I might not be overdue for this hand, but I sure feel overdue. Such an amazing day- set two records, biggest single hit and biggest single day (ended up +90k). That is all...

If he had been playing 100 hands, he wouldn't have timed the RNG at the same microsecond. And he very well might have gone home mad
