Gobbo is correct. The kicker should only be held in TDB never DDB..

A couple years ago I ran hotter than the sun on a 0.25 10 play TDB machine.

Drew AAA42, held AAA4, and remarkably hit the case Ace 4 out of 10 hands..I haven't run anything near that good since..

That's ridiculous. I've never had a royal - a couple trips back I was on super monkey tilt playing high denom spin poker and got dealt 4 to a royal and blanked. That, another time I was trying to throw away money in Cosmo HL room on triple diamond something and hit the first 2 and blanked the third reel, and the time I got it in AA vs KK with 19 left in the Sunday million vs leader (I was second) and the river came the gorgeous king of clubs (had the diamond covered with flush draw) are my 3 most recent bad beat stories lol

Close- it's Turnberry place. The towers are a separate place (same ownership though).

Well, as others have noted, yeah you didn't fill as many times as expected, but you did hit quads more than expected, and that's what really counts. When I'm drawing at premium quads in DDB or TDB the last thing I care about is how many boats I make

Very quick update, since I haven't in a while-

the potential trip with craps/other friends in town unfortunately didn't happen. I've really curtailed my play at home to preserve my roll, and the few times I've been I haven't hit anything interesting. Lots of frustrating draws, ridiculous things but who wants to see those? Eg missing the case ace, drawing 5 handed OVER THIRTY TIMES (yeah, I kept count). In other words, missing the 1/47 or 1/22.5 shot more than 150 times in a row. Sick.

I should be able to squeeze in a trip to Vegas in May- looking forward to it, and hopefully I'll have a good TR to write up!

I stand corrected, looking at Google Maps, that's where my buddy's place is too, I think he's in building 4, really great place to stay, have they got that pool back open yet?

It's been too long. I stayed at the Wynn with my parents- I had initially planned on staying at their condo to keep degen/potential to lose money lower, but of course when the subject came up we decided to just stay at the casino. I suppose it is easier for my dad to get around, and for my mom and I to help him if we're just at the casino, so there is that.

Shoe pic- missing. Forgot to take one. You all don't care about a pic of banged-up sneakers anyways.

Bankroll pic- missing, due to circumstance. My parents converted 15k of my money into cash which they brought with them. Long story, but I left the house with no money, 15k waiting for me in Vegas. You'll just have to picture a stack and a half of hundreds.

Should I start degen before I even get to the Wynn?

Got in the morning of 5/5- SO GLAD to be back in Vegas again. My mom picked me up at the airport, and the plan was to head back to the condo, grab my dad and at some point go to the Wynn to check in. Let's GOGOGOGO, I hope my dad is ready.

I sit down at my usual TDB machine. Good to see you, old friend- PLEASE be good to me this trip. My plan is to play mostly 10-play, after missing so many draws last trip I decide maybe I'll "do better" if I bet more and get more chances when I get a draw. LOL we'll see.

Some back story for the next part- as followers of this thread may remember, my bankroll has been pretty tight for the last few months due to taxes, life expenses, etc. I've curtailed my playing a ton. I NEED some run-good this trip...

What a start- barring some sort of horror show, I KNOW I'm booking a winner this trip and I've only been playing 15 min! What's more, my dad was sitting to my right AND my mom was watching (very unusual, typically she goes and plays her own game but it was THAT early in the session that she was still there). Simply awesome and an experience I'll never forget. I got to explain the whole situation to my mom, how catching a kicker would change the hand from 800 to 4000$, slow the machine down, then watch the draws come in. Fantastic.

Anyways, I continue to play...



Missed the draw here, unfortunately. I'm at work typing this up so I need to run. To be continued...

Day 1, con't

My dad doesn't hit anything on the machine next to me and decides to go to hi-limit. I want to partner with him on the full pay TDB UX machine they have, so that sounds good. We fire what ends up being the first of many 2k bullets- we're going 50/50 this time around bc I want a good share of any massive hits we get and now I've got the roll. So each time, it's 1k him/1k me.

We're near the end of the first bullet when we hit this-


Fire another bullet, no result. We fire a third bullet and I make-


I believe I've said this many times before- I really am the king of dealt "non premium" quads. The aces from earlier in the day notwithstanding, I feel like I get dealt premium very rarely.

The UX machine really dries up after that and I head back to "my" machine. At some point (can't remember exactly when), I get dealt



But end up blanking the draw. A few hands later, again comes-


And I blank again! Getting a little frustrating, but I certainly can't complain about how the aces have been today. I continue, and make



Aggh. So close- just need that kicker.

Getting some great draws, but nothing is materializing. I probably have stuck about 3k in the machine when AGAIN I get dealt-

That erases what I LOL put into the machine over that time period, with maybe a little white meat left over.

At some point, my dad had come on back over and we were playing side by side, me 1$ credits and him alternating between 1 and 2$. He shoves in a good chunk of change, but eventually makes both 4 aces/kicker and a royal from 3 cards, both at the 2$ denom so good for 16k. I ask him how much he's up for the day and he says "about 2k". LOL.

It's dinner time and I'm starving. Dad isn't hungry, so it's just my mom and I for Lakeside.

I think we go to Lakeside too often. Anything gets old if you keep doing it and there's only so many restaurants at the Wynn. Since the meals are comped and my dad has a hard time getting around the Wynn is essentially the only option. I know, first world problems but I had a tough time deciding on food. I decided to change it up and got beef tartare, the seafood linguine and a side of broccolini. Mom got the dover sole (no pics), it's about a 7/10 to me.



Beef tartare. Pretty good overall, 7-8/10. Needed a bit of salt is all.



Seafood pasta. Honestly a 6/10. I'm not a huge fan of shellfish, so the mussels/clams held little interest for me. The pasta and sauce was good but if they had a meat pasta option I definitely would have grabbed that instead.



Broccolini. A 9/10 for what it is- they were perfectly cooked and seasoned.

After dinner, I link up with my dad again. During the afternoon session, both of us got dealt trip 2, 3 or 4 several times but nothing ever converted. Here's another example-



We're commenting on the fact that "the little guys" aren't getting it done, and that aces are basically making my whole day. As if on cue, a flurry of hands arrive-

LOL, every casino in Vegas with a vp machine should pay leon for advertising. He's probably been more responsible for their vp take in the last year than any other single entity.

Leon, when they handpay do they bring you a big ole stack of Benjamins or a handful of flags, or what?

That'd be pretty sweet- I'd take whatever amount the casinos would give

For the handpay, there's a number of ways. They can give you cash, ticket or any combination. They could also issue you a check, or simply "key the machine off" and have the credits left on the machine. The true big players usually do that- they're hitting > 1200$ so often that it's easier to just have an attendant stand behind them, and every time they hit the attendant just unlocks the machine, the credits stay and the guest can keep playing.

The Cosmopolitan has a system they call FastPay which eliminates the need for an attendant to unlock the machine on a hit of $1,200 or more. The win is just added to your credit balance like any other win. I believe you can pick up your W2Gs at the cage or have them mailed to you.

Does the Wynn have something like that?
