Keep hitting more than average dealt Aces and more than drawn average kickers, then 9/6 is a breeze! Great run!

Nice run Leon.

I am pretty sure by the end of the trip BIL is addicted to VP and its various versions or he is addicted to partner with you for future trips.

Right, so easy!

It's actually been 3.5 years since I've been dealt a royal. Very rough math, and I'll try and be conservative-

Mar 2017- Aug 2020-
~ 20 trips to Vegas x 10k deals per trip = 200k deals
Barona- harder to figure, let's be conservative and say I went 30 times per year (slightly more than once every 2 weeks). 2000 deals each time (probably more on many trips).
= 30 x 3.5 x 2k = ~200k hands

Total 400k hands in 3.5 years.

When I write it out that way, I guess I haven't hit 650k deals yet, so I'm not overdue

You'd think, but we played once before at Barona and he literally didn't remember it. Partnering in Vegas this time was literally like starting from scratch. So based on that, as they said in Lord of the Rings, "he's shown an extraordinary resilience to its evil".

Yeah, I don't know how well off BIL is, but I predict Busto in the near future. I hope you're happy Leon, ruining this poor guys life.

Thanks for the report. Enjoyable as usual.

Nice to double your buy-in at craps, especially after going in a hole early. Do you typically not color up before leaving?

Just posting a winner after getting in the hole is huge. I do color up, any odd chips I end up with is either the result of breaking a big chip to tip or having odd amounts.

leon I'm not sure if this has been asked, but would you consider playing single-hand for, say, $10 denomination, so it's the same $/push?

I figure if you're already playing a high-variance game, might as well go for the gusto - at single hand $10, any premium quads or better would be at least $20k.

Thought about it, and I've played a bunch of single line in the past, but generally nah. I can't mentally fade those cold patches that would also result, routine 5 figure downswings between the occasional 5 figure upswong, etc. Rather keep whatever variance I can to a minimum, within the context of LOL TDB.

poor BIL has no idea what's coming

Leon, putting in that kind of volume, you ever find yourself going into autopilot and making mistakes or does your autopilot run optimally

Like you know how sometimes you're driving home and next thing you know you don't remember doing it but you're in your car pulling into your driveway? Does that happen in VP? If so do you stop playing when you become aware of it?

Yes, autopilot will typically fail several times a session. Minor things like holding one ace instead of two suited broadway, etc. Typically when the best I've been dealt is one ace like 5 hands in a row then suddenly pick up one ace AND suited QK, for example.

I don't stop playing, but they're always good reminders to slow down just a touch. I'm never making a massive mistake like not holding trips, etc so I just take it as the wakeup call that it is. Every once in a while (eg, it's super late and I should turn in anyways), it can be the signal to stop for the session.

You could buy a new one but it wouldn't be NICE.

Although, if I were going to spend that much on a used car it would be mighty tempting to get a Huracan.

Brand new 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera is about $130,000. It’s pretty nice.

Too slow. Need the Turbo, or whatever it's called now since they all have turbos these days.

yes they do, including this one. so the carerra s with lots of options comes to $130k, 0-60 3.5s top speed 191, and the pdk trans, which ive ridden in but havent driven, is pretty absurd

There is a relatively new high limit video poker vlogger named Slotmassacre some here might want to check out on YouTube.

He recently was playing some single line $25 x 5 coin $125 a pull.

The variance he experiences is similar to, or even higher than, Leon..

Having been to all those casinos and quite a few more depressing ones, I still have to say that FAR AND AWAY the most depressing casino I've been to in Vegas is the Silver Nugget. It's really not close. Lucky Club is pretty depressing now that there aren't even any live table games, but nothing touches Silver Nugget. Read the opening section on https://www.worldcasinoindex.com/cas...silver-nugget/ for some luls.

I think right now it's closed because of covid, and if they were smart they'd just shut it down forever. That place just gives me the heebie jeebies.
