Hate this crap. I was playing next to a guy the other day who was betting 1000$ a hand (2$ credit x 5 credits x 100 lines) and every time he was dealt two pair it was basically a guaranteed hand pay. Meanwhile he has a sycophant behind him whooping it up every time the machine locked up, which was every 2 sec. Presumably sycophant was at least partially motivated by money, hoping the big dog would throw him a bone if he plays the ass-kissing role well enough. Such tools.

I was always partial to the $5 Field better who loses their mind when a 3x 12 hits but I think I've found a new winner. Hadn't seen the Raja guy before but looks like he lives/plays here in CO? Agree w/ Gobbo he seems to be a special kind of annoying.

That's one of the bad things about vp, everyone can see what you're doing. It can be particularly inconvenient if you're doing well. I was in the high limit room once, trying to finish up a points grind, running hot at $5 credits. I had run $300 up to $1100 in just a few minutes. Not hitting big hands, just a lot of trips and flushes. This leech sits next to me and starts in with a sob story, no place to sleep, yada yada. He sees me run hot and starts throwing money into the machine next to me. I keep telling him not to gamble with money he needs for a room, etc and predictably he goes busto in 5 minutes.

I'm such a sucker, but somehow manage to not give him anything but advice, and he's really working it. But I manage to somehow escape unscathed. Hate dealing with that crap tho.

This reminded me of something that happened at Pechanga in Temecula, several years ago.

Was playing at an odd hour (5 am, or so) and the casino was pretty empty.

Hit a Royal playing Multi-Strike quarters on the 4X line for $4,000.

This nearly homeless looking guy sees my handpay and after the attendant leaves gives me a sob story and asks me if I'll buy his shirt for $10. (Dafuq?)

I did feel sorry for him and a little concerned for my safety, since the casino was nearly empty. Figured it would be pretty easy to stick a shiv in me, steal all my monies, and go virtually unnoticed.

Eventually I told him he can keep his shirt, gave him $10, and got the hell out of Dodge..

Does Pechanga still have Multi-Strike? I’ve never seen it there, but then again I rarely go to the main VP pit.

I’ve been approached a few times at Pechanga...usually by old Asian ladies in HL. However, with that said, of all the locals I go to, I feel the safest at Pechanga, and I’ve had many 5 figure handpays and one 6 figure handpay, where they take you to a private cage to pay you.

That's even more annoying. In the story I told, sycophant and whale clearly knew each other so it wasn't as bad as a total random trying to scam a few bucks.

It was a random stab on their $100 2-credit Quick Hits slot in HL. I walked into HL and straight to the machine, fed $200, hit spin, and landed 3 scattered Quick Hit symbols, which pays the progressive jackpot...it was somewhere between 101,xxx to 106,xxx, don’t remember exact amount without digging up the W2G. Even though I feel pretty safe at Pechanga, I still stay fairly emotionless and low key, when I hit a handpay of any size.

Day 4

As usual, I sleep in the longest on the last day- about 7am or so. I recall still being pretty damn tired, and very comfortable in bed. I don't really feel like playing (being stuck well over 10k will do that), but I know I've got a little left in me. Nothing on the agenda except getting myself to my parents' condo at some point for lunch, then heading to the airport.

So, I can bail whenever I want. I know I'm going to give myself a couple k or so and go home with a minimum of 5k. Likely won't last me long, but if I somehow catch a run I want to give myself a bunch of time to play. With that thought, I'm up and at 'em.

I don't even order myself breakfast- I figure, I could go bust pretty fast, in which case I'll have plenty of time to pack, order, etc.



YET ANOTHER slap in the face. Sigh.



AGAIN with catching 2 out of 10 hands! I could really get used to this. One way or another this is a crazy trip.

And... the ice returns. I think I played about 30 min, tops on that 3k. Gotta be disciplined- if I give back more I'm really going to be upset.

Wait... I've still got my points. For the first trip in a long time, I haven't used any points during the trip. Let's see where we're at-



So I basically generated 36k points over the weekend. At 7pts per 100$ coin in, that's 514,285$ coin in. Over 1/2 a million. Christ. Expected loss = 1% of that, so 5.1k give or take. I've definitely run below expectation.

Anyways, that 40k pts is worth 400$ in play. I convert it over, not expecting much.

What a miracle save. That spin poker machine was just ridiculously hot. All the cumulative run bad over how many trips, wiped in just an hour or two at the machines... this is why I keep coming back.

I am on cloud 9 for the rest of the day; in fact, just looking at these pics is making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside again. I know spin can be just as cold as anything else, but I plan on playing more of it in the future.
