Day 4
As usual, I sleep in the longest on the last day- about 7am or so. I recall still being pretty damn tired, and very comfortable in bed. I don't really feel like playing (being stuck well over 10k will do that), but I know I've got a little left in me. Nothing on the agenda except getting myself to my parents' condo at some point for lunch, then heading to the airport.
So, I can bail whenever I want. I know I'm going to give myself a couple k or so and go home with a minimum of 5k. Likely won't last me long, but if I somehow catch a run I want to give myself a bunch of time to play. With that thought, I'm up and at 'em.
I don't even order myself breakfast- I figure, I could go bust pretty fast, in which case I'll have plenty of time to pack, order, etc.
YET ANOTHER slap in the face. Sigh.
AGAIN with catching 2 out of 10 hands! I could really get used to this. One way or another this is a crazy trip.
Well, it looks like I'm definitely playing until lunchtime!
AGH so close.
Nice, another big draw. Here we go- 2 for 10 again?
Result-
I'm now quite hungry, and am pretty pleased with how that session went. I head up, order room service and pack.
The by-now-standard eggs, meat, and croissant.
I bask in the glory of having made a semi-recovery, and set a new stop loss- I think 7k. That gives me about 3k to play with post breakfast.
And... the ice returns. I think I played about 30 min, tops on that 3k. Gotta be disciplined- if I give back more I'm really going to be upset.
Wait... I've still got my points. For the first trip in a long time, I haven't used any points during the trip. Let's see where we're at-
So I basically generated 36k points over the weekend. At 7pts per 100$ coin in, that's 514,285$ coin in. Over 1/2 a million. Christ. Expected loss = 1% of that, so 5.1k give or take. I've definitely run below expectation.
Anyways, that 40k pts is worth 400$ in play. I convert it over, not expecting much.
Well HELLO THERE- from a pair no less!!
I've got blood again. I decide to give spin poker a try, b/c why not? Gotta change it up.
Part of the fun of spin poker is watching the cards come in and trying to figure out what, if anything, you've made. Usually it's tough and you're not quite sure before the machine just tells you. Case in point-
Drew at one ace. Didn't even realize I made a hand until
BANG!
Just a few hands later, this shows up-
WHA?? That comes from-
Even now, it's hard for me to immediately pick out the win. Thank god we're not responsible for "reading the board" in VP.
I'm really running hot on this machine. In fact, I'm only stuck a few thousand now. Then, the mother of all draws shows up-
Even I can read this one. We see the queen of spades, it's a 12k score.
Can I get some love, one time??!!
Result-
AND JUST LIKE THAT, WE ARE UPPPPPPPPPPP for the trip!!!!!!!
Such an incredible feeling. I take a bathroom break, cash out the ticket and take a pic in case it's the high point-
Back to the machines. I keep picking up draws-
Result-
Damn!
Wha??? Again?
That's from-
LOVE the surprise hits!
Little easier to find this one.
HOLY ****! The amount implies I made quads twice, once with kicker and one without.
OMG this would be too much if this one comes in...
Result-
I plan on playing down to 30k, or when I need to check out and meet my parents for lunch, whichever comes first. Both end up happening simultaneously.
I've got a car on a piece of paper smaller than a dollar bill.
SUCH. A. GOOD. FEELING.
What a miracle save. That spin poker machine was just ridiculously hot. All the cumulative run bad over how many trips, wiped in just an hour or two at the machines... this is why I keep coming back.
I am on cloud 9 for the rest of the day; in fact, just looking at these pics is making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside again. I know spin can be just as cold as anything else, but I plan on playing more of it in the future.
Man I love Vegas. Such a good result. Hope you all were entertained as much as I was. Thanks for reading!
Day 4 result- +23k
Overall- +10k
