This man basically crushed business school, did well working for the man and then founded his own successful business. Still refuses to accept 100/10 is a bigger number than 1000/110 because "1000 is bigger", to use an analogy. WTF.
It's just weird. Some people just can't or don't want to learn, bottom line. With my dad it's definitely the latter. I suspect most of the VP donks out there are probably aware there's a best play, and also are aware they don't often know. They just don't care enough to learn.
