I’ve lurked and leeched off of this forum for years and thought it was time to give a little back. A very old friend of mine (literally and figuratively) and I both turn(ed) 60 this year and are resuming our yearly trip to Las Vega
s to celebrate his birthday. Since you only turn 60 once we decided to turn it up a notch by staying two weeks.

We hope to:
-Visit the new casinos
-Eat and drink a lot (a lot)
-Investigate whether Jerry’s Nugget still has $2 craps.
- Along with: sports bet, tournament and cash poker and blackjack.
- Oh, yeah….and golf. But not too much. Only nine holes here or there to make sure we get right back to the four bullets above.

I don’t expect I will post a lot of text but hope to give back with a bunch of pictures; hopefully some from places off of the beaten path, and some food and chip porn. I hope you enjoy.

Here’s the obligatory shoes and (partial) bankroll picture. I left out a bunch of $50s because I didn’t want my chops busted about that but left in the cheap vodka handles.

We’re staying at the Jockey Club. The price was right and the location is good.

We have a rental for the whole time so we expect to hit a bunch of local food places and casinos.

Not bad I have this one from France. I’d actually prefer some Fleischmans rye as we can’t get it in Texas. Not like I can find Blanton’s here anymore either.


Your trip seems right up my alley, you OMCs have fun.

First bad beat and I haven’t even left the airport. In my effort to save money on booze, I had to pay the $75 overweight fee. The math said to scuttle the vodka but, damnit, I wasn’t going to.

The smart OMC I’m hanging out with this week said I should have moved it to the golf bag. Got that advice a skosh too late. But that’s why I hang with him. He’s a smart guy. Why he hangs out with me I have no idea.

Like with any bad beat, just take it with a grain of salt, order another $15 drink from the airport bar and move on.

Nice Bourbon there. I don’t have anything that nice in my stash at the moment. I am bringing the Blanton’s because it’s hard to find anywhere. Seems like everything Buffalo Trace distilled is a unicorn these days.

Depends slightly where you are I can find Weller’s Special Reserve and Buffalo Trace basically everywhere. Others not so much.

Where you at Bro? I need to track down Buffalo Trace/can't find it in Wisconsin....

I think it’s one of the traditional markets for a lot of BT products (Weller, Old Charter), so for that reason they seem to get more of there products.
