I'm thinking there might have been some alcohol involved, maybe something was misinterpreted, some feelings got hurt, things escalated quickly until, well, here we are.

I'm hoping time and sobriety can calm things down and we can get on to the subject at hand, Vegas trip reports. Some say I'm a dreamer...

I can say, from well documented experience in learning this lesson myself, don’t let people’s bs bother you. Trip reports, particular live versions, are difficult and it’s easy to feel like people are picking on you when they’re not, esp when you’ve been getting after it and feeling tired / worn down. And, even if they are trying to pick at you, give no Fs. This was a great and entertaining trip report. Good work! Would be cool to see you wrap it up, but I certainly won’t fault you if you don’t.

Le Thai is actually quite good. Not up there with some of the really elite vegas thai (haven't done Lotus myself but Lamaii is incredible), but faster, more casual, and more affordable.

Not sure about their tom yum but I've eaten there at least 3-4 times and enjoyed everything I ordered.

(And regarding that phrase, my parents would say it. They meant it in a way that they felt very rich at that moment...even if they weren't. It was used when eating out and having a nice meal, for example. It was of a sign of being grateful, imo)
