Aria was pumping last yesterday... holding A6s, I got some short asian fellow to call a four bet for stacks with 8/5o after he straddle three bet to 12x.

Did you have some kind of major tell on this guy, history or? Or was it just the 12x three bet? I can't imagine you playing for stacks with A6s too often.

against this particular player... it was an easy Shove based on history.

I was fairly certain I had him pre flop after he tried to squeeze from the UTG straddle position (I was on the button)... again.

what was surprising was his love of gambling with the worst of it. He talked himself into calling after tanking for a couple minutes.

Like I said earlier, I'm not results oriented here because my read proved to be precisely correct... Onto the next hand.

on a related note, one other thing I don't get is daily players that can not loose gracefully... I mean I play with these guys all the time. You know, players you don't know personally, but you see them all over town playing and when you beat them in a pot, they go ballistic. I had one of these (young) fellows in the same game yesterday, I busted this guy up with third pair and he proceeded to crumple up his cards in extreme anger and toss them at the dealer as he got up saying to me in a back handed way... "I'll take that call everyday of the week!". As he turns and is walking away I tell him, "you better find a new profession".

I was at a table where pretty much this exact same thing happened @ Aria yesterday...

It involved an accidental min-raise cuz of loud headphones by the eventual winner of the hand, & I didn't hear that line, so I will assume that must have been a coincidence, & not you.

Can you explain what you meant?

Results oriented has several meanings... What i meant here was that my subsequent loss as the hand played out, had zero effect on whether or not I felt (at the time I made the asessment about my opponents hand/range) I made the right decision. The range was slightly outside what I had expected, but was still skewed in the direction I anticipated.

The fact I lost has zero weight for me here against this particular player.

You're not going to bring that hate to kabuto are you? I just don't get players that loose and get angry... when I lost my stack to the little asian fellow that called me with 85o, I smiled... shook his hand and invited him to sit at my table anytime.

Notwithstanding the semantics, simply said that even though you lost the hand you were not concerned as you knew you made the right decision.

Emotional players are the easiest players to beat. Never let your opponent know your sweating or angry. Poker is a game of manning up and learning how to take it on the chin.

What hate

& when am I going to Kabuto? The little Asian guy seemed nice, but I think I might have left before the hand in question. He was definitely good for the game.

Kind of embarrassed a 2+2er was at my table. I was half asleep, reading the internet most of the time, & definitely not playing optimal poker.

My bad... it's Gobbo that is coming to Kabuto, I apologize.

I know who you are then, I know I have played with you a few times before. you were in seat four kind of slouched over in your seat half asleep. next time, introduce yourself or give me a nod and we can talk away from the table (we may have even talked before)

from your initial post I assumed you were the fellow that got felted, but you were sitting next to him.

FOR SURE... that guy was good for the game, I was licking my chops and should have stuck around but in the end, I only had a couple buy ins on me and I kind of felt done after that hand, so I called it a day and just went home.

Yup, that was me. This baby thing has taken a lot out of me haha, but I definitely would never act the way seat 5 did.

The funny thing is that he was bragging about how he often plays 5/10 & blah blah blah. Can't imagine how awful he would take a beat at 5/10.

Definitely will say hi if I see you around, & you do the same.
