I'm curious to why you think LA is overrated? Maybe because we live here? It has great culture, food, history, scenery, car scene, etc. I come from Phoenix so let me tell you, LA/OC is awesome to me. Here is my list of top 5
NY
LA
SD
Denver
Chicago
Well, the first thing is... to separate LA from OC.... it's actually 2 completely difference scenes that don't really commingle..... this is mostly because of traffic. (ie. for me to get to LA for a lakers game on a weeknight, it would take me 2.5 hours door to door) This is why Anaheim Angels have their own baseball team.
I guess it's all relative...but basically all the reasons I trash LA is because I feel there is NO culture, NO history....food is disappointing considering the ratio of great restaurants to the city's population.
Denver is awesome. I love it there. Would live there if there were actually any finance jobs.
As for Chicago.... it's ok but it failed to make the list for me because to me it's just a sh*ttier version of NY.
Cheers,
