Quick Presidents' Day TR:

- Stayed 2 nights at Vdara and had a comp room at Mirage Sunday that resulted in me getting a PENTHOUSE SUITE (pics below)

- Chilled with my brother who I haven't seen in ~6 months since moving to LA, flew his ass out on my dime because I'm such a badass brother

- Met Katana at PH, played 1/2NL and we ripped Patron shots. He ended up making 200+ because he's as wicked at NL as I am at limit IMO

- I had $75 resort credit at Aria/Vdara, so Katana and I used it at Aria's lunch buffet. There were like 3.5k people in line but Katana sweet talked and BS'ed our way in through the VIP line. Buffet is waaaaaaaaaaay better than pre-renovation.

- I finally learned craps after my 8 years of being a degen, Katana has a legit awesome betting strategy. I coached him the dumbest game ever in return: Pai Gow. We donked around Freemont, the D is a pretty badass spot.

- Met up with Under_the_Radar a couple times, dude is one of the nicest and most down to earth guy you'll ever meet. Always like chatting with you about life and poker!

- Bought my bro in to 2/4 limit for the first time playing poker ever, he is aggro as hell.

- Aria buffet will toss your salad (see below).

- I really love music, bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Led Zep, etc, I would say it's my 2nd hobby behind poker, and I know I'm not supposed to like this, but that damn Carly Rae Jepsen song "Call Me Maybe" is crazy good IMO. I was dancing around at Revolution bar when it came on and this group of girls were smacking my ass. Winning.

- Bought in to 3/6 LHE at Mirage for $1k

- Katana drove my super hungover/drunken ass to the airport and said I smelled like a brewery. Successful trip IMO

- Back in LA, and work tomorrow I'm sure I'll be super productive.

Squid v dude w/ reasonable social skillz battle at teh felt

Took squid up on a sweat session today... And it was awesome! We meet up yesterday and spoke a bit about what we'll be working on, all the while letting me sweat his 2/5 game (that included Dan Harrington lol).

He watched me for an hour at a 1/2 game today at the V. Within that time frame we covered lots of basics as well as good +EV spots that your average player doesn't see. We covered starting hand ranges, preflop play, c betting, marking players, the importance of the players to your immediate left and right and different lines we could take with my hands.

It was a new experience to have a coach sitting behind me and watching me play, and it is unforgettable. Squid brought 20+ years of experience and helped me see the game in a new light. It was some next level ****. If anyone wants a coach i recommend squid purely because of his wealth of knowledge, his coaching experience and because he's an easy guy to get along with/ talk to. Thanks dude!
