Will be heading out to Vegas later tonight... Got a freaking cold for the 3rd time in a month and was miserable yesterday.... I still feel sick, but feel a bit better. I hate being sick in Vegas... No drive to do anything, and food has no taste.

notes: rolled in at 11:45 and got seated instantly. 4 games up and running...I knew it was going to b action packed today. By 3:00 pm it was a circus. Every table full and a wait list of 70+ for 2/5. I have not seen action like this in a looooong time. The games were off the proverbial hook and I logged 9 hours of kick ass poker and the fishies did their absolute best to give it up and they succeeded!

Cheese and rice, man...70 deep on the list??? I hope is even a little like that next week.

ya man it was absolute insanity...It was the perfect storm of superbowl action, day 1b of the deepstack, and I honestly believe the economy is picking up b/c the action this year is significantly better than superbowl weekend last year.

Borgata trumps Venetian. They have 150+ on the 2/5nl list with 15+ 2/5nl games during day one of their tourney series. That being said, Venetian has decent action today. Tomorrow should be better

Any chance we can get Steve Wynn to build an indoor connector between Wynn and Palazzo? It's a hassle walking to the Wynn poker room in 38degree weather. Also, in the summer, it will be too hot at night. If he can spend 34million on that piece of art, which they just put outside the Wynn theater, he can afford an indoor casino connector. Someone contact mr Wynn.

But casinos never seem to see it that way. They seem to believe that nobody should ever leave their property. So they build "a city within a city" like Aria and make it hard to leave, seemingly without understanding they're also making it hard to get in.

Caesars' approach has more promise. A moving walkway to take you in, but the only way to leave is to walk.

notes* got in really early today 10:45 am and there were already 4 games cranking - and they fired up more post haste. Again a total circus and the clowns were there in full force playing beyond poorly and giving it away as fast as possible. Got in 9 hours of great pokerzs and left exhausted. Really glad that I did this thing b/c I am really pumping up the volume and I know that it pays off at the end of the year!!

no dude im old...and when i gambool i have total focus and commitment. I get very tired. my longest sess last year was a mere 11 hours. Like I said when I started this thing it is prolly no biggy for a lot of dudes but for me to play true A+ poker and bang out 70 hours in 11 days its kind of tough. I can dick around and play ABC and have a crappy w/r but that isnt my goal here

*notes super bowl sunday. Slept in today...didnt get to v till 12:45. When I got there the joint was hoppin. My table was one of the best I have had the pleasure of playing in a long time. The room was not sheer pandamonium like it had been the last several days - but the action was truly insane. Me and gerald (a highly skilled player) had the pleasure of doing battle with 3 massive whales a couple of fish and a tilted unskilled regfish who is usually nitty who torqued off 5 dimes. The list to get on this game was about a half mile long and no one got on it for several hours obviously. The game was increadibly deep and a roller coaster ride. I suffered a pretty bad suck out - but when the dust settled the $ went where it was spoda!
