Cheaper or similar in cost to leave it at your house and get a car to the airport?

just use Economy Parking Lot at McCarran. It's $10 a day though (the cheapest for McCarran parking). I've done it tons of times for a 7+ days and have never had a problem. If you are flying out of Terminal 1, there is a shuttle that comes by frequently and will take you to/from the airport. If you are flying out of Terminal 3, you can just walk to the terminal from the Economy Parking there it's so close.

My solution is free (and I won't tell you). Hint: It is on a city bus line that goes directly to a place that has a free shuttle bus to the airport.

Right on, doing some skiing up there?

Phew, its been a year, some year. haha. Hows eerbody been round hurr, mshu? katana? cush? elliot? star? Is Aepoker still round?
I figured its been a while, might as well see what y'all been up to. Got me a job in a restaurant a while back, started as a dishwasher, moved on to prep cook, now I'm a server. Not too exciting but its fun and I like it, at least for now.
I've been meaning to get to Vegas this year but uhhh...the lawman says differently. So since I've been stuck here I've been goin up to black hawk quite frequently. Winning. And I've also been grinding some micro stakes online. Also winning. Thanks to you sir. If all goes as hoped I might be able to make an extended trip to vegas in march?!? We'll see.

How are you guys?!?!

I got that mail and checked immediately for availability. The best they can offer me is 10Mbps copper DSL. I think I'll stick with my 50Mbps Cox, thank you. Not that I have the first clue what I'd do with 1000Mbps that I can't do with 50, but damn, it'd be cool to post the Speedtest results.

Uhhhhh details please!

Vegas is still here my man. I cranked out a ton of hours this year. It is currently snowing outside but there just is not that much snow right now in Utah and I am not highly motivated to brave the weekend Christmas crowds.

Glad you are winning both online and at the live pokerz. Hopefully you can make the trip in march. Generally speaking the first weekend of march madness is insane poker action so shoot for that one if you can!!

Don't lose hope . . . rumor is if the NFR does leave, LVE will put on an invitational rodeo to fill up those two weeks.

Idiotic fight at MGM in the walkway near the bar almost equidistant between the poker room and lobby. It was over college bowl games, drunk idiots. At least 4 arrests that I saw, but a guy and a girl were both cranked in the head by beer bottles. So stupid. Enjoy your felonies kids.

Centurylink is so full of fail. Big time bait and switch artists. At my business location they promised me 20 at no extra charge, from my current 8-10, if I commit for a multi year deal. Sales dept assured me several times that it was available at my location. Went for it.

Installers come out and the line is noted for a max 15 if I am lucky. Called back sales dept, cussed them out and let them know where they could shove the contract extension. They did void all my contracts and I am free to go as soon as Cox wires up my building, which should be completed shortly.

They also lied about not know my address was not capable of 20 meg as one of the other tenants went for their max speed a couple months prior, and also ended up with 15 on a good day.

Uhhh.... Really? There are a ****load of cowboys here ( I'm local) and they are talking about having it at Silver Spurs arena... Where there's a rodeo twice a month. 5 miles from Disney World, not to mention the entertainment reasons that bring millions of people to Orlando every year. Seems like a good if to me

Pretty common for DSL. They can't always tell for sure what the line will be able to do. They have their standard distance charts so they know not to offer 20Mbps if your copper run is too long, but sometimes even if they think you are within the distance limits it turns out the wires don't run the path the records show, or there are crappy splices, or bad connections. One place I lived I ordered the DSL and Southwestern Bell actually warned me that I was right on the edge of the distance limit for the speed I wanted so it might not work, but they'd give it a whirl (and it worked). They can try different pairs in the same cable, or maybe a different 50-pr cable if there is one available, but it remains something of a "try it and see if it works" system.

Cox sometimes has issues with performance as well. They can have neighborhoods where the network is hugely overloaded and performs great from 1am to 2pm and sucks from 3pm to midnight. My brother is currently suffering with this from Comcast--he gets 20Mbps in the wee hours, and 2Mbps if he's lucky during prime time. And Cox can sometimes have troubles keeping signal levels high enough to be reliable.

At any given time, in any given location, it's hard to know which Internet provider will suck less. Which is why for years I had both Cox and Century Link--I really needed a 24x7 99.99% sorta connection for my job and they were willing to pay for the redundancy. It saved me several times during 2 hour to 48 hour Cox outages.

I'm a network administrator out here. I can confirm that Century Link is just horrible. Cox is merely pretty bad. Unfortunately, being "pretty bad" still makes Cox the best ISP I've ever dealt with.

Worth noting that their 1GB seervice is fiber, not DSL.

I think we all know this, I was merely stating the service for those venturous enough to try it and report back... I am more than happy with cox at 150mbps
