Got lazy and hung out close to home @Sunset. Hit a couple VP hands for a +$500 session on a sequential progressive where the jackpot went over $100K. Decent for a quarter machine. Kessler worked the numbers and even with the $100K JP the machine just becomes break-even.

Prop bet update:

Just finished up a 9 day stretch of hard core pokering. Heading to the mountains for some serious relaxation and decompressing. I have been working on my street poker - and I have made some small tweaks to my game...it seems to be working well. I have also been running hotter than the sun which is always fun.

I have been working on my stamina since the beginning of the year and I feel like it is in fact peaking in time for the series. Logged a 14.5 hr day yesterday (longest since bf) and a 12 hr day today. I am fried but feel very good. My goal for this series is over 300 hrs and I feel poised to be able to accomplish that.

win: 19,132
hours: 412.75
w/r: $46.35/hr

How long of a time period does that 412 hours cover?

Mutha f*cka... The MGM was pumping last night bit time because of the fight... constant flowing of skirts and celebrities mingling and trying to get into the Hak.

Not one seat available on any table at any stake and it took me 20 minutes to get out of the parking structure.

Bieber and Gomez were around to.

Prop bet came up today. Walk/jog/run from the Welcome to Las Vegas sign to the Golden Nugget, under 1.5 hours. Looks like it's a little bit over 8 miles. I've been given 30 days to train (currently run a mile in 8:20) and got 4-1 on 250.

Doable?

Oh, and to answer above question about first timer to Vegas...

Go to Rhino, wearing a sapphire pool shirt, take group pic holding Earl of Sandwich and a greyhound, while all shoes are visible.

You have to average about 11 minutes a mile. EZ game, ship it... unless you've never ran more than 2 miles at at time in your life. Even then though, it may not be easy, but certainly doable.

Do you get super exhausted after running 1 mile in 8:20?

If you really train for it you can. I'd alternate LSD and intervals 3 days of each, then one slow jog day per week, with the LSD starting at 6mi for the first week then 8mi for 2 weeks, and 10 for the last few runs. The 10 mile ruins right at the end will provide you with psychological help because you just ran 10 miles a few times successfully...8 is a breeze now. I'm an old fat ass now, but I took on a similar bet to this years ago and this was my approach as recommended by a college friend/track guy.

IMO the key to the training will be the interval workouts more than the LSD running, but both are needed to guarantee victory.

(also do half an 8-ball right before you start)

I ran quite a bit when I was in the Army (granted, 10 years ago) and last year was doing quite a few 5k's while in the police academy. Last time I ran 2 miles had a time of right around 18.

I don't get super exhausted, but this will definitely test me. Not a big runner. Also have to factor in dealing with crowds, escalators, street crossings, etc.

Best advice ever on 2+2, IMO.

I don't know your size or health, but ff you were running 5ks as recently as last year, then the aforementioned really don't matter. You're a huge favorite. Shocked you got 4-1. Good luck!

There's crowds at 4am? You ARE going to do this at night when it's cool, aren't you?
