Out of nowhere another vehicle hits me from the side, swerves to the right and then back to the left and strikes my car again, thia time at the rear.

This caused my car to spin out then immediately flip.


I didnt even know what happened. I was driving along next thing I know something hits me and I flip. Had to hear from witnesses what happened.

People who have $10K auto insurance tend to be litigation proof. They're turnips and they know it. Squeeze all you want, but no blood will come out. So don't get your hopes up.

Do you have uninsured/underinsured insurance? If so, I believe that'll figure in to the equation. Either you have to sue the other guys before your insurance will pay you, or maybe they pay you and then they sue the other guys for recovery? Thankfully this is something I've never had to worry about.

I imagine your insurance will spell it out for you soon and may have some useful advice. A brief chat with a lawyer is rarely a bad idea, of course, since your insurance company is going to be looking out for themselves, not you. And because the driver isn't the owner, it gets more complicated.

Yeah that sucks about the insurance policy and it not being the driver. I went through this process when my buddy lost control of his car and put us in some trees. I sued his insurance company for doctor bills and everything else since I was out of work for 9 months. Worst 16 months of my life. Mailing every dam bill I would get and **** to my lawyer just became ridiculous. I finally got a check 16 months later, but wish the process on nobody.

$10k? Minimum limits in NV are $15k/$30k/$10k for property? That means $10k toward vehicle damage and the $15k refers to personal bodily injury liability? Definitely lawyer time and hopefully you can get a $25k settlement knowing in principle that more than $10k will go toward the cost of your car.

for this reason I would get a lawyer, not because I would expect to get blood from a turnip. your own insurance company can try and screw you.

That car wreck situation seems absolutely awful. Unless you run good and have supplemental uninsured driver insurance on your policy you seem to be in a bad spot.

For those of you out there buying minimum coverage on car insurance, it only cost a few extra bucks a month to kick it up considerably.

I carry 250k/500k/100k Liability Coverage and 60k/120k/50k Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage, and it only costs about an extra $12/month.

Trust me... your life is going to suck if you total somebody else's 80k Mercedes Benz, and their insurance company sues you for the difference in what your minimum policy paid and what is owed on the car.

Side Note - played 81.5 hrs in 10 days...very pleased with this. It was the most hrs I have played in a 10 day span since BF and the most profitable which is a wonderful combo. Currently taking a 4 day break to recreate extensively
