Happy hours are great for people doing solo trips because you can eat cheap food at the bar and not look like a weirdo. They're also great for low-rollers because you can enjoy tastes of menus you might not want to splurge on in full blown dinner mode. There are typically 5-7 happy hours, but also late night ones.

I am not an expert on the happy hours in town, but I have been to a few. I know that a few of the Bellagio/Aria restaurants have 40/50 dollar happy hour tasting menus that can be pretty good. Koi at PHo has one of my favorite happy hours with some sushi rolls half priced and 3 dollar bud lights etc.

Please leave and current/relevant/tasty happy hours in here. This seems like a good midpoint for the fine dining thread and the casual dining thread.

What you are calling 40/50 dollar happy hour tasting menu is in reality a pre-theater prix fixe (typically). Anyway.

Assuming American Fish is still open, it's still the best high-end restaurant happy hour on the strip.

Bump

OK, now that American Fish is long gone, what are the new best upscale happy hour places? My crew is 2 middle-aged couples, so we loved the quiet atmosphere and good food at American Fish. For our next trip, we're staying at TI instead of Aria, but I don't see any well-reputed happy hours on that property.

Here's my current list of candidates, based on the Eater's list, which does not say anything about ambience or crowd. Please add comments and/or your own favorite happy hours.

North Strip

Davidoff Cigar Lounge - Fashion Show Mall - free champagne for ladies, discounted beer/cocktails 5-7 pm
Table 10 by Emeril Lagasse - Palazzo - 3-6 pm and 9pm-close - small plates, sangria and some cocktail specials
Buddy V's Ristorante - Palazzo - 11:30am-6pm - $4 drink specials, $5 small bites
Mercato della Pescheria - Grand Canal shops - 3-6pm - $6 small bites
Sugarcane - Deep inside the Venetian - 4-7 pm, 11pm-close - $7 cocktails, $6 wine, $6 beers, $1 oysters, $8 ceviche, other food specials
Canaletto - Grand Canal shops - 4-6pm - $7 antipasto, pizza, $5 beer, $7 proseco and wines
Katsuya by Starck - SLS - 5-7pm - $4-$10 full sized dishes, $8 cocktails, $7 hot sake, wine

Center Strip

Trevi - Forum shops - 3-6pm, $4 beer, $6 ginger pineapple mojito, $7-9 pizettes(?) and small bites
Searsucker - Caesar's - 5-7pm - $5 beer, $7 wines, $8 cocktails
Fizz - Caesar's - 6-9pm Sun-Thu - $5 beers, $6 champagne, $ cocktails, $8 small bites (Looks like kind of a cheesy concept, but who knows)
Rao's - Caesar's - 5-6:30pm Sun-Thu - $4-8 drinks, small bites - Italian
China Poblano - Cosmo - 3:30-6pm $2 small plates(!), $6 beer and wine, $10 cocktails
STK - Cosmo - 6-7pm - $10 bites, $5 beers, $8 cocktails
Jaleo - Cosmo - 4-7pm Sun-Thu - $8 sangria, tapas specials from $4 (Who knew? Maybe I can convince my party to pre-tapas here before dinner at Julian Serrano)

Downtown

Oscar's - Plaza - 4-7pm - half off beer, wine, well drinks, half off some apps
Therapy - Fremont St. - 2-5pm, 9-11pm Mon-Thu - $4 wine, $5 beer and cocktails, 20% off food from 2-5, also food/drink pairs for $10 (Probably going to be more noisy/bustling, but looks good.)

I'm guessing that the mall restaurants might be more crowded/noisy, but will listen to your suggestions.

Heads up: I was just at Jaleo for the happy hour. Above prices are no longer valid.

They have a two for twenty deal for tapas and no deals for beer.

Downtown also has Pizza Rock. You can get a personal 1 topping pizza for 5 bucks. Amazing quality pizza for the prize too. 3 meatballs for 4.50 and probably the best meatballs I've ever had

Just got back from our trip, and our new go-to is Milos in the Cosmo. $5 beers, and some nice small plates for $8 I think. The octopus was really good.

The other one that we tried was last night at Phil's Italian Steak House in Treasure Island, because we had left our bags at the bell desk there. They have two overlapping specials periods, 4-6 at the bar with flatbreads, bruschettas, beer and wine, and dining room from 5-7 with a $25 8 oz. steak dinner. We sat at the bar after 5 and I had the steak special while others had the flatbreads. Definitely a good option.

Yesterday, we started looking at the Venetian at Sugarcane, but were told that they cancelled happy hour because of a convention in town. The place was empty, so **** them.

Yeah this is almost definitely the best happy hour I've had in Vegas.

Great list above, one addition I'd throw out Carmine's in the Forum Shops. Nothing amazing but another option for $5 wine and $6-7 apps (I like the meatball sliders). I find it slightly inferior to Trevi and would rather just go there, but YMMV.

Casa Del Matador in Downtown Summerlin has happy hour everyday from 10 pm until close. $5 for a huge plate of nachos, $8 for five street tacos, cheap drinks and a whole bunch of other good stuff. They close at 11 on weeknights though.

Venetian Grand Lux (think Palazzo one is the same) has HH Mon-Fri 4-6:30pm. Unfortunately i don’t have the drink prices because i was playing poker but the bartender said they’re very good.

Star for me is the long HH food menu, everything is $6.50 which is sort of a deal for eating in Venetian. Had the prime mini cheeseburgers, they were like a fancy version of the below with really nicely cooked onions and super good. 4 of them were perfect size for a lighter meal

Ooh, new Milos menus are intriguing.

Vegas.eater just released a new HH list: https://vegas.eater.com/maps/best-ha...rs-restaurants

My go to happy hours/specials:
-Sen of Japan after 10:30p HH menu is gigantic; I need to go back to try everything.
-8oz korean steak is already fantastic, but cheaper after 10pm
-Ferraro's Italian 4-7 pasta / meatballs
-Charlie Palmer secret set three course menu with unlimited wine for $55.
-Bardot 5-7 tartar / flatbread
