Well, once in awhile people do take ownership of a situation. But in general you are right. Why protect money that isn’t theirs anyway. I am sure they are all instructed to just comply with the demands.
Seriously though, how is there not a panic button that can alert security? Maybe they don’t want security involved so as to reduce gun fire. For a business that literally does thousands of huge cash transactions a day, the lack of security is interesting. You couldn’t get away with this at a pawn shop. They want customers to feel safe which means no violent incidents.
Things may change if this becomes a trend. They can’t let everyone who waltzes in with a gun take all their cash and leave so easily. Just another incident like this yesterday.
