Hi,

The small blind game consists of a bounty which only the small blind can win. The button places $X amount on the button. This amount is only available to the small blind and does not change the size of the pot. If the SB does not win it, the $X stays on the button, and the new button player adds to it. This continues until the bounty is won. The purpose is to incentivize action from the SB and create interesting scenarios as the SB bounty grows.

Texas Stand Up is another bounty game. In this case, all players must stand until they win a pot, and the last player standing must pay everyone at the table $X each.

what games they spread for mixed?

Right now there is some mixed game tournament action on Fridays and Sundays, but as far as I know the mixed game group moved to RW around WSOP time in 2021.

Room management is changing; someone more informed than I will eventually address that, I'd imagine.

I think it's impressive that the small room spread the mixed game with so many variants. Next week I'm moving to Vegas and right near the Sahara so I would participate and possibly help facilitate getting games started.

It's a social game, so there is drinking, but no real pressure.
Of course. It can be a lot of fun, especially as in one night it went on for nearly an hour as the last two standing battled it out. Usually it is just a short diversion.

Currently the Sahara is offering a mix of tournaments ranging from $60 buy-ins with single rebuy/add-on to $120 PLO and Freezeouts, $150 bounties, and even an Omaha8/Stud8 tournament. They have tournaments everyday at 12 pm and 7pm, with Sundays being 11am instead of noon. Cash games currently have a reduced rake from 2-8pm on Monday Tuesday and Thursday, they are taking only $2 house and $2 jackpot during those times.

The atmosphere is great, the dealers are solid, and the games are exciting. Call the room if you are interested in playing a 2-3 NLH deepstack wednesday nights, minimum buy-in is $600 and there is no cap. Currently the rake for that game is only $5/player/half hour. can't beat the rake!!!

What time is the Wednesday deep stack game?

When are the PLO and O8/stud8 tournaments? I'm interested in learning those games so that sounds like it might be fun.

PLO is 12 noon on wednesdays, omaha8/stud8 is 11 am on Sunday. Last week we had 3 full tables for the omaha/stud, this is the first week we are running the PLO tournament, however I expect it to kick off as soon as the series starts rolling.

The weekly deepstack game is 2-3 no limit texas hold'em deepstack, $600 min- no max. Starts at 7:30 PM. If you want to play, give the Sahara a call and we can contact the game moderator with your name, get you on the list.

Not to take away from Sahara and the great stuff they are doing here but South Point also has a Tuesday 2PM $60 O8 tourney.

A few answers:

I host the 2/3 deep stack game. I started it in January 2021 in order to have the kind of game I like: deep stacked, available to small stakes players and bigger game players, while being social and fun. I believed games like this solved many problems in poker, and while that is probably an overstatement looking back, this game itself has been a success.

I take no cut from the rake, which is in fact a time collection. I am not an employee, can't answer questions about tournaments, etc. I can't and don't speak for the Sahara or its policies or problems. I chose this room for many reasons, not the least of which it is physically very nice.

For the game, I take a list to get it started, and after that it is open the public. It begins promptly at 7:30 pm and runs until the game dries up, usually around 3 a.m. but I make no guesses or guarantees. It runs one or two tables in general. One week this year the game did not go.

We run certain extra games like the show one, the sb bounty, bomb pots for the time collection. These are part of what makes the game good and socially enjoyable. There are a few other wrinkles.

Question about the daily tournament. On Poker Atlas, it states it is a non-re-entry game, but then states rebuy cost is $30 for 10K chips.
Question 1. Is the rebuy information a "typo" and this truly is a freezeout tournament?
Question 2. Usually how many people and how long does the game last (assuming you are in the money)?

I bet rebuy should have been add-on.

On our NLHE tournaments you may rebuy once at any time. After you lose the rebuy you must re-enter. For Crazy Pineapple there is unlimited rebuys. However, if you miss a hand you may not rebuy you must re-enter.

The tournaments usually last 2.5 hours and have 10-20 people weekdays and more on the weekends.

UPDATE~ We have changed all of our tournaments, except the Sunday Bounty Tournament, to unlimited rebuys.

Final 2/3 NL deepstack game of the year tonight at 7:30 pm. Thanks to everyone who has helped make this the best game I've been a part for two years now.

I will likely run it again starting in mid-January.

update:

The deepstack 2/3 time game I host each Wednesday continues to run and you are invited of course. 7:30 pm start.

However, the big game on Mondays has moved to Resorts.

I might try a plo or half plo/nl game in its place, especially while we have such a good deal on rake.
