Woke up and spent $30 on an omelette that should have cost $10 at the americano cafe at Ceasars. I'd almost rather just spend $100 and at least have quality food.
I haven't been to the Venetian since they opened up the convention center for tourament poker. They try to make it feel less like an aircraft hangar but fall a little short. I play like garbage. Weak tight. I hit middle pair when everyone knows that's my range and fold to a 2/3 pot bet because there is one other player left and didn't feel confident enough to raise. Utg checks, cut off bets pot and utg calls and wins with A high.
I bleed off chips missing flops playing weak/tight and get my stack in with K10 on a k78 board. I get called by Q7. Turn brick and just like yesterday there is a Q on the river. I debate a reentry, mainly to get the 3 buyins needed for the VDS lucky hats but decide with the way I'm playing it's 100% paying $600 for a hat. Side note, I thought it was 2 events for a hat last year. Also, side note, if anyone is playing 3 events and wants to sell me a hat I'll pay more than the $30 in food credit you'd get for them.
I'm not a slots person at all but if I see the Simpsons slot I'll play it. Two pulls in I get a $80ish bonus. Should have cashed out then. Burn through all that plus another hundred. Head back to Ceasars and light all my profit on fire plus the money I allotted for Friday getting wrecked at BJ and craps.
Reload in my room with the rest of the money I have allocated today and took $1700 to the high limit room which apparently had a $500 minimum on all their BJ tables. First shoe I end up $300ish since my bets varied. Second shoe I think I ended down to $1300. Oh, but the third shoe... You know the shoes where every hand you have a 13, 15, 12 and the dealer ALWAYS has a face card and you just get crushed? The oppose happened. Every hand the dealer had a 4,5 or 6 showing. Sadly I didn't have double down hands but it didn't matter. Every card she hit was a face that busted her and when she had an 8 showing I had the 19. After the first 3 wins I bring my bet up to $800. Then after the next 3 wins I make my bet $1200. I must have won 12 out of 14 hands. I look down and see I have $6600 sitting in front of me. I pull everything back but $600 making my last bet, which lost and colored up. You can only cash in chocolate chips at the high roller cage which was literally 2 feet from my table. The cage women saw me win the chips. That didn't stop them taking 20 mins to cash me out which included my players card, ID, and a call to some mysterious person/location where the cashier repeated a series of numbers. Weird they don't do that when you sit down with the money. Only when you want it back.
Not content with what I had taken from CET I filled up 2 plates of fajitas in the diamond lounge and took a nap.
Woke up. Had a gps uber issue which resulted in me getting 7+ different drivers assigner but no one showing up. I cancel and lose $5. I almost get fed up enough to grab a cab but I restart my phone and head to the Rio for the $365 daily deepstack.
I actually play well but get crippled down to 5k from the 20k starting stack when I thought my middle pair turned into trips on the turn and made a huge bet on the river. I manage to spin up stack to 35k by level 9ish. The 1600-800 200 ante level. I make it 4800 with A10 off from from the hijack. Button makes it 15k with a 150k stack. Blinds fold. We are 90 seconds from the 1k-2k level and I think button assumes my range is wide so I 4bet jam for my stack. I don't have any fold equity with that bet but the button is priced in to call with worse. Button calls and shows QQ and the board bricks. I could have gotten away and folded it preflop. I'll study the spot when I get home. Not sure if that was a punt.
I look for a quiet craps table back at Caesars and lay $410 on the 4. Roller hits his point then 7 on the come out roll. I collect $200 and leave my bet up again (for another $10). He rolls the point at 8. Picks up the dice 5, 11, 8 and then his throw lands where it hits a placed chip on the pass line. You hear the hard clicking noise and see the die completely changes direction/momentum. From my craps play betting the pass line I already know the result and don't even need to look. Stickman announces 7 out and I win another $200 which gets me back my daily deepstack buyin.
