I read in a couple of TR that people got comps through the facebook game myVegas - how does it work exactly?

Do you just play and over time it accumulates points, or do you have to play real money games?? Also what's the quickest and easiest way to do it?

Don't have to spend money but the time you have to invest to earn enough for anything decent is not worth it.

There's guides online, but in short, yes, you can do it 100% free and get free stuff, I got Cirque tickets and food credit for my trip last year.

Doesn't take that long if you leave it running in the background, Google sonething like MyVegas optimal strategy for a guide.

some people actually enjoy playing. Its a nice outlet for me to pretend to degen instead of just blowing all of my money sports betting.

That being said I have like 500k loyalty points and there isnt **** I actually want rewards wise. All of the semi decent ones (Like free play) require a stay at an MLife property

Should also note there are different versions of the game for PC/Mac and mobile and it takes way longer to earn loyalty points on your phone.

If you play on an Android device you need to download it through the Amazon marketplace rather than direct from the app store or you get way less LP.

All 4 of the games can be synced to your account and will share the same balance. Basically the more you play the free games, the more your "loyalty point" balance will go up.

You can then redeem loyalty points for free buffets/tickets whatever, it used to have super good rewards but it has been nerfed big time. It's still worth it if you have 10 minutes to kill a day ..like waiting for the train or whatever.

I average about half a million loyalty points a year and use them for free buffets, about $200-300 in free play plus a few show tickets. It's not much but helps cut the costs for me, especially since I use CAD.

Anyone ever use the free room rewards? Or are buffet, show tickets and free play most value?

Free play is the WORST value, IMO. You spend 150k points for $50 in free play. That's 3k points per dollar. You can get Allegiant vouchers for $50 or $100 off airfare at 50k or 100k points (1k for $1). I don't know the cost of rooms but they are still subject to resort fees.

IMO the best value are 2-for-1 buffets. The point-per-dollar for 2-for-1's vs "One free buffet" is so huge that that it's best used on the 2-for-1. 14k points to get you a 2-for-1 breakfast/lunch buffet at Bellagio (which is normally $21 each for a 667 points per $1 ratio). You get the added benefit of jumping the line too (comes with a "one free" or a 2-for-1). Of course if you only travel solo then 2-for-1 is worthless to you.

Some of the points per dollar ratios are so weird that it costs more points/dollar for more reward (where in the real world if you buy a large bulk item the price per oz/unit goes down, not up). Various free play amounts and the "2 free buffets" vs "1 free buffet" prices in particular.

(Going off memory here so apologies if my numbers are off.)

The reason this particular good does not follow that economic pattern is because they cap the number of rewards you can book over a rolling time period--three months, I think.

Because of this, many users will place a premium on being able to book 2 buffets with only 1 reward, thus the higher price per buffet. This way they can use the two other reward redemptions on 4 more buffets, despite paying slightly more than if they bought them 1 at a time (but capped at 3).

Ahhhhhhh ok, this makes a lot of sense. Never noticed the rewards were capped like that (I only use 1-2 rewards per my 1-2 trips each year). Thanks!

Anyone else notice that all rewards must be redeemed by December 29th? I'm planning a trip early in 2018 and there doesnt seem to be anything I can use my points on. Think they are phasing out MyVegas?

I think they only post things for so far out. I imagine new offers will show up closer to your trip

My friend who has never been to Vegas and only signed up for MyVegas after my recommendation is now getting different rewards options then I am. Is that because I've already booked the trip and it is associated with my MGM Players Card?

He is being offered 2 nights free with no night restrictions (not even on weekends) at NYNY, Monte Carlo, etc....anyone else getting these offers?

The offers are all based on your location. Wherever he is at, they want players from there cuz numbers

Would you feel myVegas made more sense if someone explained they may think that it takes X to get your friend out to gamble/spend/generate >X revenue v. Y to get you to generate >Y revenue ?

Clearly, you, who already have a MGM players card, and have already booked a trip, are to some extent a known quantity and viewed differently than your friend who has never been to Las Vegas and has less data available on which to estimate his value and how to capture it.

Accordingly, you and he are "offered" differently.

What is the most efficient way/fastest to get the gold coins? I have unlimited play chips.

I have almost a million MyVegas coins/points to use, but honestly there’s nothing worth the hassle of redeeming in the rewards section! I haven’t found anything other than free play to use them on, but you are limited in how many you can redeem so what’s the point? I’ve almost got enough for a cruise but the ones offered aren’t ones I’d typically take as the ports aren’t near me.

What I did I was grind a certain slot then I hit a jackpot for 50 million. No money spent.

Ive never spent any money. I just play online slots often and tend to do much better when it’s not for real money. You can play a really long time if you hit big on the free money they give you throughout the day.
