I've been once since COVID. A PA casino, on the way back from the airport.

PA has poker closed, so I was left with video poker.

This is not me whining, as I realize the restrictions are for safety, but here is my criteria for being a regular customer and returning:

1) No masks. Or, at least areas seperated where I could sit at a machine and not required to wear the mask. I am fine wearing it in and out of the building, and walks to bathroom, and encounters with cocktail waitress. But, I would like to have a machine socially distanced from other patrons, where I could play mask free.

2) Smoking returned

3) Reasonable cocktail service returned

4) Restruants reopened

5) Better paytables. Come on, guys! Try not to squeeze your customer for every penny, we are hurting too! Return good paytables to lower demoniation machines.

I'm sure we all have other things we would like to happen. But, going to the casino, being forced to wear a mask, not permitted to smoke, it just wasn't fun for me. I get it. I certainly do. This is an unprecedented time. But, I go for fun. The way it is right now, just isn't fun to me.

I would like to visit Vegas at some point in the future. I look forward to reading the trip reports. People who have been, I am assuming still no shows and attractions are all closed?

Re masks, Sorry, you feel that way, but it is good sense and a public health measure. Try playing poker online or come out here. Masks are required, but live poker is available.

As for Las Vegas casinos, generally:

You can smoke.

Cocktail service is just fine.

Restaurants by and large are open.

Better paytables ???? Look you can pick how you want to lose your money, talk to your favorite casino.

Reading your post, you can come to Las Vegas or you can stay home in PA and complain ....

Sadly, you’re more likely to see triple zero roulette. But a lot people are dumb enough to play it so why not?

Well to be fair, he can have all the good paytables he wants, but he'll have to go off-strip to the locals casinos (unless you're playing higher limit VP, in which case I think a few strip casinos might have ok paytables).

So good paytables at lower limits, or being on the strip. Choose one - you can't have both.

The casino industry never helps out the customer in the good times. Then they are going to complain as they go out of business and Vegas is going to ask for a bailout. They are like the airlines, they squeeze, they squeeze, they squeeze, something really bad happens, they beg for help!

In Atlantic City I get better Comps at Harrah's properties, but stay at Borgata as the video poker pay tables are far superior.

I still lose! I just dont' feel as cheated.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans are quite happy to play 6 to 5 BJ, so playing triple Zero roulette will be no problem for them. My only criteria are a completely no smoking hotel/casino, and a decent hotel room with good aircon and shower.
