Would love an update on everyone's recent stay there. Girl and I are contemplating staying there to take advantage of reduced costs.

You might want to wait until after the election, Judge.

Arkansas and West Virginia being among the handful of states with an age of consent at 18 years old is GEICO commercial surprising worthy.

I was there a few weeks ago. New lobby might be finished by now. Food court is gone. A lot of walls around the casino floor, don't recommend playing there. New Park MGM rooms suck. Beds are too low, and seem shorter than normal beds. Didn't like the color scheme either. That being said, if the price is right, the location can't be beat. Easy walk to Aria for poker and gaming. Tram to Bellagio. Just don't go during an event at T-Mobile center. Especially during a hockey game, it is a overcrowded mess.

Attending a college hockey tournament @ T-Mobile Friday & Saturday night on January 5th & 6th. I have hotel reservations @ NYNY, MC & MGM from Wednesday night to Sunday night. I want to play some 1/2 NL Holdem while in Vegas but need to be fairly close to T-Mobile Arena. It looks like NYNY & MC are shortest walking distance to T-Mobile.

I would appreciate any input on best place to stay & best place for poker. I am leaning toward playing & staying @ MGM or staying @ MC & taking shuttle to Belllagio. However, I have no idea how the “shuttle” works.
Thanks.

University of Arkansas graduate. I can explain.

14 year old got passed around at a frat party when I was there. Early 80s.

Tdad lawyer of one of the bros got the charges dropped by pointing out the Arkansas age of consent was 12.

Next legislative session, presto, 18.

Monte Carlo is pretty much a piece of **** now except for the Park Theatre and , in some minds, nearness to the Aria (which is a dreary boring place but for the poker room).

They even shut the poker room that had an almost zero footprint but was loved by many. And now the conventional food fair which could drag you away from the Aria poker room for a bit is gone. I also don't like the pool area.

They are doing some band aids but they should just tear it down and start again.

The tram between Aria and Bellagio runs from 8 am to 4 am daily.

From MC you have to walk through the former "Street of Dreams" shopping area to get to it. That area is currently a long hallway surrounded by construction. If you want to play poker at Aria, you don't even take the tram, you just directly enter the casino instead after the ~5 minute walk down the hallway. And it's another couple of minutes to the poker room.

To play at Bellagio, you take the team all the way, and then walk by the pool area, conservatory, and Jean Philippe until you reach the hotel lobby, then you walk through most of the casino to get to the poker room. That's at least a 10 minute walk at a decent pace. But taking the tram is still faster than walking the Strip.

If are willing to walk to save some bucks, MC is an option, esp. if you want to play at Aria. If you want the poker room to be close to your hotel, I'd take MGM. If you want to gamble in your hotel at all, I would pick MGM. The gaming floor at MC is pretty messed up right now.

I also can't say how it feels to walk through that construction hallway during non-peak times.

The MGM poker room isn't all that close to the rooms either. Unless they moved it a lot closer.

Might be shorter from some rooms at Monte Carlo to the Aria poker room than from a room at MGM to their poker room..

You don't need to (and shouldn't) walk the strip from Monte Carlo to Bellagio- just go through Aria and VDara. Still, tram is faster. The only use for that tram is going exactly from MC to Bellagio (or vice versa), for any other permutation it's easier and faster to walk.

Monte Carlo construction is a great reason to waive the resort fees there. But do they? No.
