I used to clear my free play at several casinos playing Ultimate Texas Holdem on a machine that looked like this blackjack machine:

There were machines at Riviera, Sahara, Vegas Club and Binion's. On exactly the same day they all disappeared and either became Let it Ride or Mississippi Stud. Does anyone know if there are any of these machines left in LV?

I talked to a slot tech and the only thing they knew was that nobody ever played them. They didn't think advantage play had anything to do with them being removed.

They has a game like this I've seen at Red Rock, but it's a single person machine mixed in with all the slots. It's not from the same company or even the same game name, but I think it's the same "game" if that makes sense.

So, I've been thinking about this a lot. The live game is the same, and the don't care if you see each others hole cards, so what's to stop 6 people from playing together and gaining a mathematical advantage? The big advantage would obviously be on the postflop play, but even pre you can get a huge advantage if you're holding a medium pocket pair or something right?

Last time I was there (almost a year ago), they had one at Hooter's casino. I'm hoping it's still there, nothing like late night wings and multi-seating the ultimate texas hold'em game.

Most live versions of this game have signs saying something along the lines of "don't expose your cards to other players", but in reality as long as you aren't being obvious it is rarely enforced.

they have rooms full of these in Arkansas casino/dogtracks. no "legal" live card dealing in that state. I dont think i have seen one in vegas lately, just the BJ machines

Monte Carlo has one with $1 ante (near the restrooms by the cafe).
Planet Hollywood has one with $5 min ante (by Earl of Sandwich).
I love/hate this game.

lol im sure the hooters brain trust is working on it as we speak.

srsly though wizard of odds says house edge is like 2.1%... even with 6 players cooperating perfectly, i doubt your decision making could get good enough to overcome an edge like that.

They also used to have one at NYNY and Mirage, they were both replaced with Mississippi Stud machines.

It is an entirely different game.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I dunno, knowing 23% of the deck pre flop and 28% post flop seems like it would give you a decent advantage vs 2 random cards in terms of bet sizing and then post river play...Also, wizard of odds says .526% edge which is easily overcome

you guys should not cheat in this game because it's probably a felony and you will wind up in jail!

We'll the next time I'm back in town (probably in June) I'm more than willing to work out a system here. Again, I've tried, but I'm not sure if my discipline is strong enough to overcome the edge, but my math is solid. I think I'm up overall on this machine...have to recheck my notes on it, but I've had some ridiculous swings here.

I was looking for it at binions last weekend also and could not find. I enjoy it and its small house advantage. If you find any I would like to know and hope anyone will post. I will as I will be looking again in about a month.

It is back at Binions now in the same place it was before. I guess Mississippi Stud didn't do so well.

Good news. Thanks for posting. They come with Jack often also once you catch them. They also had one at I think Vegas Club it is called but was $2. I have had big swings on this game but usually takes time one way or the other.

All the cards are up on the Machine. It is not cheating unless you are tampering with the Machine.

Before you play this machine read this:

It is rigged! You can get dealt the same card(s) that the dealer gets or any other player.

I don't think there are any. The last one was on the newer generation without the sketchy duplicate cards at Jerry's Nugget. It's probably been gone a year.
