Is MGM's rakeback as awful for poker players as it seems? Is MGM's rakeback as awful for poker players as it seems?

I've played maybe 20 hours of cash at their properties and I've earned exactly zero points. Now I'm not expecting to get a Ferrari for nitting up some 1/3 NLHE for a few hours, but what is even the point of swiping your M Life card at the poker tables when all you get are some tier credits? Even my limited play at PH and Rio this summer earned me some actual points for Caesars stuff, but it seems that MGM is being stingy unless you're out spewing in the pit.

Poker comps are earned by the hour, usually at a rate of $1-2 depending on the property and sometimes the game. To redeem, give your card to a manager and they will PRINT a comp for you. For example, Aria will print one for the exact amount of a slice at Five/50 but Bellagio has a $10 minimum.

Poker is a separate department from the casino at all MGM properties. Your comps are available at each room you play for one calander year.

The point is getting comps and getting enough hours in for free parking. If you ask someone in the poker room to check your comp total you should have more than zero. Slot machine/pit game comps are separate from poker comps.

Unless something changed I thought you get zero tier credits for poker.

Edit: Looks like someone beat me to it.

Well, that makes a lot more sense then.

I spoke to someone at the NYNY MLife desk and she wasn't even aware of this.
