Not seen this mentioned anywhere yet (apologies if I missed it).

Last week I was told by a dealer in one of the rooms that they will shortly be merging the poker comp systems, so poker comps earned in (random MGM room) can be spent in any of the other MGM/Mirage group casinos.

If true this is a long time coming and a major step forward to the existing PITA setup

so the next question I guess is what MGM restaurants are the best to spend your comps in? I have a bunch of comps at Bellagio but I don’t like Noodles and I think the buffet is overpriced and I find it hard to fill one plate with food I like. Can you use poker comps at The Pantry at Mirage? I always liked their meatball sub there as it’s cheap and HUGE!!

Also have to ask if they will combine hours from all mlife rooms to qualify for free parking (75 hours) and free valet (150 hours -gold card). I have over 150 hours at Aria this year so I’m not too concerned.

About time! I like jumping around and playing different rooms on my Vegas trips so its always been frustrating having different comps at different rooms.

Is that MGM wide (even international?) or just for Vegas casinos?

With the last decade of resorts fees, paid parking and other ways of grinding down their customers, it seems to me that MGM corporate is up to some kind of future sketchy scheme. They are getting all the poker comps in one place so they can figure out the best way to grind them down. It's much easier to do when they are combined.

Let me know if this doesn't eventually happen.

It might have benefits over the short term but that's probably it.

I hope it’s true, but I recall that a dealer told me the same thing ... 3+ years ago!

They already made them expire when they previously wouldn't

Will this apply to Borgata comps/restaurants as well?

I stopped when I read "a dealer said".

Rumors have been floating around for a year now about changes to the MGM National Harbor comp system. Shockingly, absolutely nothing has happened and I'm not holding my breath that it will.

People are still paying for parking at my properties?

If they combine hours from rooms, maybe they will increase the hours needed to get Pearl and Gold.

Maybe OP didn't catch the dealer prefacing his statement with, "It would be nice if..."

If you ask at aria they'll manually check and upgrade you if qualified.
If you ask at Bellagio they'll probably piss on you for disturbing them.

I actually heard this same thing early this year when playing poker at Bellagio with someone who works for the Mlife program. He said they were working on merging the poker comp system with the express comps which would make them usable at least at all the Vegas casinos and by swiping the card instead of having to get a printed comp. He didn't have even an estimated date though.

Ok. I was at MGM about three weeks ago and I was told I was close to if not at the level to get upgraded. They can’t do it at the Poker desk and it was 4 an so I was out of luck.

Fast forward about 10 days and I’m at Bellagio. I ask and they say I am not close.

I was under the impression that it was about 75 hours but it is not a calendar year.

If anyone has more info, please share.

A lot of rooms will not let you combine hours so you might need 75 hours in the same room. Not sure if Aria will combine hours with one other property; I know they did that in the past.
