I couldn't believe when I heard about the casinos being hacked. All the money the casinos make they can't upgrade their cyber security? They would rather pay a fat ransome?
The hacks mostly now are caused by password reset requests and poorly trained low level managers and older non tech managers…. It isn’t because the casino is not using 2 factor authentication, or security keys that if printed would make the yellow pages look like a bedtime story.
Frontline users are the golden tickets to hackers these days…
Caesars cancelled the DefCon security/hacker conference in August with no reason given, but I'm assuming this is fall-out / scapegoating from the MGM and Ceasars hack.
