The mlife link doesn't work yet though. From that vegasbright page:

Although we tried, the mlife.com/mastercard link is not yet working and gives a 404 message (at least for now). This recent event leads me to predict that eventually, and unfortunately, Caesars Entertainment will also charge for parking, but, make it free for Total Rewards VISA cardholders to level the playing field.

Special thanks to the reader/tipster who got my snoop & scoop started on this!

Sorry, that's how I took it also. It's upcoming, not in effect yet. I should have mentioned that in my post. I do think it'll be of benefit to some players though, if it includes everything listed.

The fact that it has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees, makes it a no-brainer. Wonder if the free parking will work during T-Mobile events.

Im surprised there havent been any organized protests against MGM properties against this parking fee, I am even more surprised CET hasnt marketed "No Parking Fees" on their advertising to drum up more business.

Still not charging yet, but the self-parking rates are now posted at Bellagio. It's free for less than 1 hour, $7 for 1-4 hours, and $10 for 4-24 hours. It also specifically says $10 for over 24 hours, but I'm not sure if that means you only have to pay $10 no matter how long you stay, or if they will charge you another $10 for longer.

That's because CET wants to start charging. I'm not surprised at all.

Well, don't you want your parking experience "improved" at the CET properties as well?

within 18 months everyone will be charging. It will be the same as resort fees. As others have stated...

Interesting that MGM complains they have to institute parking fees across all of their properties because can't afford to build a parking garage at Excalibur. Weeks later they announce their ability to spend close to a $400 million dollars buying 50% of Borgata in Atlantic City and $450 million to renovate the Monte Carlo.

I was at Vdara valet last night and Monte Carlo valet and they are both ready to go starting TOMORROW June 6th. Monte Carlo and Ny-NY self parking is set up and ready to accept payments but MC's technology addition is far from finished - it won't stop them from charging tho.

Aria's valet is also good to go, their valet captain assumed self-park was ready for tomorrow too but admitted he wasn't sure on that. I would guess it's ready to take payments tho

You realize that companies can buy things on credit, right?

But they couldn't have built a parking garage with credit?

Here's one group with 2,000 members so far that will be boycotting MGM resorts, including me.
"SUPPORT FREE PARKING --> BOYCOTT MGM RESORTS International"

I can't imagine this boycott could accomplish much since we now know that anyone who already gambles there very often will get free parking.

I really so hope the new resorts you all frequent take excellent care of you and make you feel like well-taken care of guest with generous comps and loose payouts.

I feel pretty sure MGM won't miss you long term and won't be sorry to see you go by how they are operating currently.

So while this protest will end as futile emotional masturbation resulting in no changes from MGM; hopefully it will pave the way to some nice offers/promotions by others to attempt to lure business from MGM over this.

Some people are so angry that they are telling tourists they know to stay away from MGM properties. Locals will know people who come in from out of town. But yeah I doubt it hurts them much anyway. Especially if the angriest people are the ones who didn't reach Pearl.
