while I was at the table, everyone wore their masks properly. there were more hand gestures than usual. for example, if someone threw a 5k chip and said "35" they would sometimes show 3-5 with fingers, or someone would clarify doing the same. Not that often though, honestly.

Sorry, I suppose I meant wear the proper masks and of course wear them multi-layered. It's easy enough to hear people that are wearing cheap cloth masks.

You honestly were at a table where players had $5K chips and tossed them in to bet $35, instead of just getting them changed when they got low on their $100, $25, $5 lower denominations ?

So, the dealer had to make $4,965 in change, from the box, during a hand, instead of between hands or having a chip runner handle the change ?

Science takes time yea I’ll agree with you on that one because they been trying to come up with a coronavirus vaccine for decades(they’ve had some issues getting it through safety). Now that you brought trump into it, didn’t he try to restrict travel from China (the epicenter)very early on and catch all kinds of hell from the other side who basically downplayed the virus back then. Why should we take the higher ups even remotely serious about anything they say on COVID when they let them flood the gates and come on in untested at the border? Just so you know I’m not a trump worshipper either just get real tickled at all the skin he can still get under I means it’s comical to say the least. I don’t even know why corona is still a issue now that ol liar liar pants on fire is president after all he said he was going to end it he had a plan remember. Tell me do you really wholeheartedly believe the death rate numbers the cdc puts out? It’s pretty common knowledge that elderly people dying from old age around these parts are often listed as dying from COVID. Know for a fact that you can’t raise enough hell to get a bogus COVID cause of death changed on a death certificate either. I believe I know more people that has had COVID than I do that hasn’t had it and can say I only know one who has died from COVID and due to his possibly (self inflicted)health problems would’ve likely succumbed to something like say a decent case of say h1n1.
All this said I believe it is a Real thing and people really are getting sick and sadly passing away from it. Its definitely a health concern that needed addressed and not politicized. But guess what it didn’t quite go that way did it. I mean just read your post you just couldn’t help yourself could you? I bet if you are old enough you prolly still have part of your y2k stockpile lmao
Lmfao. I actually work in healthcare. Nice try. Funny how confident the ignorant are. Fauci first served under Ronald Reagan and has served under 6 US Presidents but yeah he's a liberal hack and you know more about science than he does. Do you even know what a coronavirus is? Do you understand how the spread of viruses works? Of course you don't lmao. That's why you think stopping flights would've stopped the spread of a virus that's already infected Americans and was already being spread by Americans. Yeah, COVID-19 ain't no big deal and fauci is a worm which is why basically every single country on the planet is terrified of their conditions getting worse.

i don't understand this, i've carried out tons of conversations on masks, spoke on the phone with masks etc it's never a problem

i think a lot of this is just confirmation bias, people suck at speaking clearly with or without masks but now we just say it's because of the masks

or maybe they're just a little less incentivized to give a **** with a mask on, idk but you don't see these zomg masks are impossibly inconvenient in asia

Fauci is definitely playing politics, although I don't think that discussion belongs in this thread. I'd recommend the Coronavirus thread in the BFI subforum.

So you work in healthcare would you care to elaborate which field you specialize in? Yes fauci is a worm it doesn’t matter who all he has worked under he’s still a worm. Yes I am aware sars coronavirus is a respiratory virus. Yes I have a pretty good ideal how viruses spread. You made your post political not me. I never said it’s not a big deal, your reading comprehension leaves room for improvement for sure. Never stated what I thought on any travel bans just stated the facts of how things went down early on. Speaking of funny why is it people like yourself always resort to name calling anytime you feel like someone may disagree with you.

Agreed it’s prolly not the place, I originally opened the thread to see if there were updates on plexiglass at the tables in Vegas. Just couldn’t help getting caught up in someone else’s know it all political version of how to save us all

it's pretty hilarious you attack the other side for politics slanting their viewpoint and yet ignore the irony that at the same time you think someone old enough to have served since the reagan administration is a good idea to be in charge of things

it's well studied that cognitive ability peaks at age 20 and slowly declines beyond that point and much like with athletes, the true peak is somewhere after that as training and experience trend upward and bump into that falling line

i'm a liberal but in the covid threads i've gone on in lengthy details about how absolutely incompetent and inept fauci is

but politics aside, nobody his age should ever have that important a position at his, furthermore, you should ashamed of yourself viewing that as a positive, if you'd be afraid of riding in a car he's driving why would you want to live in a pandemic he's managing?

yes, let's choose an 80 old man to run the ship, what could possibly go wrong... jfc man, agree with his actions don't simply praise him for being old as dust, that's far worse than not liking him for political reasons

Oh I get that things are straying from topic or thread title. It just kinda seemed like you were handing out labels for any one that writes more than a couple sentences of conversation. I normally just skip over **** I don’t want to read or that’s not related to the topics I’m after. On the other hand it does seem that Covid and mask/plexiglass are related to some degree. Just FYI it’s supposed to rain here all day so I’m likely to dwell indoors a good deal today

In my own experience the masks do not interfere with communication at the poker table nearly as much as the plexiglass.

Wynn and Encore say 88 percent of their employees have been vaccinated and so they are removing plexiglass from table games and slots. Don't know if that includes poker tables but you would think so.

Are the players on the table more than 3 feet apart right now? If not the plexiglass will probably stay.
