Seriously, given the rising case numbers in the state, it seems like good healthcare policy. And from the economic perspective, it might help bring some business out of the woodwork that was sitting things out over concerns about the lack of use of personal protective equipment.

If you want to gamble in a Nevada-licensed casino, you have to wear a mask. It is up to the licensed gaming operators to enforce the requirement.

No mask, no entry, and no services (although you can eat and drink having removed your mask while doing so)

This is a rational public health policy, similar to "no shoes, no shirt, no service".

If wearing a mask is TOO much of a burden, man up if you want to play live poker under the reality of Covid 19.

The infection rate in Nevada needs to be lower to sustain a tourism economy here. Anyone who thinks differently ain't from here or is trolling.

Was at Bellagio today. 60% of poker players were mask below their chins or below their noses. Floor staff spent half their time enforcing Gov’s new mandate.

Follow the rules or stay home. Why f**k with the staff? Bunch of entitled jacka**es!!!

FWIW, went to a few locals casinos 2day and it was 100% mask wearing inside. Seems like that is being strictly enforced in the casinos.

OTOH, went to Walmart yesterday and a mall today and it was 60/40ish mask wearing. So outside the casinos here, it still appears that mask-wearing is a "suggestion".

Yesterday I was shopping at my local Home Depot. ( North Eastern USA) . There were about 300 to 400 shoppers in the store . I was amazed to find only one person without mask ! Only 1 ! That blows my expectations by a mile. Felt very proud and safe .

Why do people similarly jam into bars in re-opened jurisdictions ?

The reason people are still going to casinos, while wearing masks and social distancing, are pretty much the same, regardless of whether you call them all seriously degen scum.

In Las Vegas, where masks are required, people seem willing to rely on their prophylactic promise to allow them to resume going to casinos. Casinos also perform temperature screening upon entry, which helps market their premises as somewhere one can "play it safe" .... or so says Stations casino signage.

It was only 6 months ago when wearing a mask into a bank, liquor store, or 7-11 carried a different message and different risks to the health of the wearer.

Yes, you can drink, but not a a pretext. I had no issue at SouthPoint with a mask pulled down while I was eating an ice cream cone, but that's not what you meant, is it ?

If everyone in this country followed the recommendations of wearing a mask and social distancing from the beginning, we might just have defeated this virus by now. We should have by now. Most of Europe is opening back up. They are even playing professional sports again. But noh, not here in da good ol USA. We,s want aar freedem. Nobody gonna do wat de Libs a be a tellin aas.
