$27,000? I never thought I would like Panerai so much, but now that I own one I'm drawn more to them.
Final Thoughts:
I always have and always will love Vegas. Didn't rage quit my job while I was there, but definitely considering taking some vacation during the WSOP.
- Masks - Not sure why people go off the handle so much about wearing masks, but best advice is find a comfortable one. My (sometimes drunken) observations were that 98% of people were properly wearing a mask inside and not making a huge deal about it. The random people I saw without a mask really stood out and I just don't recall seeing it happen very much.
- Poker - 5/10 Bellagio was much softer than I thought it would be. I chipped up super easy and a few local reg-donators made some really dumb bluffs. Still peeved that I donated back to the pro on a dumb bluff that would've allowed me to freeroll the trip, but oh well. Think I was up a few hundred on 2 sessions.
Caesar's is to be avoided. They barely got 2 2/5 tables going on Thursday night or something.
Bellagio dealers are all 100 years old. Weird.
- Craps - First time in a while this was just pure horror. Was not up at a single point in craps. Think I was down 800 or so on the trip?
- Pai Gow - Still a mainstay for the MarshMan114 crew, but even this landscape is changing. Now they have Face Up Pai Gow where the dealer pushes on a dealer A high pai gow. I think this really pushes the odds in the casino's favor, but still a good game to take a little longer and drink a little more. Much better than 3 card or UTH for chilling out with $100. Oh and they also don't grandfather you in anymore. We were at a $15 table Saturday MORNING at the Linq and they bumped it from $15 to $25 and said we got 3 more hands.
- Food - Always a winner. Crushed Bacchanal and El Diablo was very tasty at the Mirage. Ate WAY too much sushi at Ono and almost made myself sick. Hash House A Go Go is always A+.
- Planet Hollywood - Really underwhelmed. I think if the poker room was still active I would've liked it better. Pool was good and not really crowded, but there's something to say for having all the amenities under 1 roof.
- Regrets - Should've stood up at 5/10. Didn't make the pinball museum. Starting to get the olds (I'm 37) and was up at 5:30am every day and in bed by 11pm. Probably would've avoided a nice fight with wifey if my body let me sleep in once and I didn't start drinking at 10am every day.
Thanks for coming along! I know good trip reports take some dedication and hopefully it was worth the click.
