Epic TR. Can't believe I missed it the first time.

Only one depressing thing: hearing everyone talk about qualifying via FT for 2011.

Thought this might be a good time to bump for any newbies who need a feel good story right now. The best main event trip report ever IMO.

I guess I'll be the first to **** all over the OP for being beyond douchey. Not sure what tilted me more: the constant bragging about being an athlete (seriously mentioned it like 5 times). The ******ed comment about the 400 pounder eating him. The even dumber comment about the lady at the pool (I guess this idiot is spending too much time around high school kids). Those all show him to a first-class douche, but I think what tilted me most was his acting like he had any impact at all on the good looking kid (gordon?) crushing life. This kid would have wound up at an ivy and exactly where he is today if he never met you. I'm sure many narcissistic teachers fall into this trap to keep themselves from giving into despair. But something tells me you didn't pull this kid out of some trailer park as a freshman with a D average and help him to turn his life around. But that is the only situation that would warrant a "this is why i teach" comment.

And that's not even mentioning the interaction with the young pro where he is asking absurdly personal financial questions. And instead of just accepting the guys understandable response of, "who are you, my dad?", he feels the need to try and humiliate him further by telling us all that the guys degree was in finance. Its ****ing insane to me what some people consider to be acceptable small-talk with a complete stranger.

Lastly, the blow job disclosure and of course him crowbarring in the fact that his wife is hot kind of solidify my take that this guy is a narcissistic douche that I couldn't spend 5 minutes around irl w/o being compelled to ***** slap.

He writes really well though.

Id assume this marriage ended in divorce too.

I guess you idiots either overlooked how big a douche this guy is because its a well written poker story, or think its cool for a 40 y/o man to act like a ****ing moron 16 y/o in the parts I point out.

I just think it's odd that a grown man is acting like some dumbass teenager, when he's not lecturing complete strangers on their retirement plan, and I'm the only one here calling him a jerk off.

Amazing read, already shared with a few of my close poker friends. Would love to hear an update on Craig Savage and see if he is still playing successfully!

vafongool, I doubt many people share your viewpoint here...
