First week I will be attending a magic convention at Sunset Station. Since I had good luck with videopoker last time, I will probably be playing that a lot in spare time. Not the limits Leon plays though.

Last week I will see if I can perform on Freemont Street during the day and in the evening I have some pokertournaments scheduled. Three at the Venetian with a $200 buyin, a $140 at Wynn and two cheaper ones downtown.

In between I have a kajak trip planned and a quick visit to the Magic Castle in LA. I'll try to keep updates less wordy than last time with more pics.

Wouldn't normally wear this during a performance, but it's Vegas, so I guess it's allowed. And I thought of a nice piece of magic with the suit, hopefully spectators think so as well.

You may need a permit to perform om Fremont Street, they used to dole out space in some circles on the pavement for street performances. Contact Fremont Street Experience maybe ?

3pm to 1am the circles are assigned via lottery in 2 hour parcels.
You can sign up online.

Before 3pm you can just find a free circle. So I will first try morning/early afternoon. If I feel like I need a spot after 3pm after the first try, I will see if I can sign up for the lottery.

If you end up performing there post your appearance schedule.

Thanks for the clarification, my info was from long ago when they were just creating the circles to reasonably accommodate 1st Amendment issues.

At the airport in Amsterdam. Unfortunate layover of 7 hours in Toronto, so estimated time of arrival Las Vegas around midnight local time.

After about 25h on the road arrived at Sunset Station around midnight. Still impossible to sleep, so went for a little videopoker. Went up about $40, then down about $40 and then this. Good start of the trip.

Up $200.

It's indeed nice and quiet at the pool. For Dutch people it's the perfect temperature though.

Yesterday I say at the pool, played some slots for friends back home (what a great idea, they send me money to gamble with and I send videos of the bonus games) and also played some myself unsuccessfully.

Today I woke up very early after a terrible sleep due to a constant rattling sound from the elevator. Went downstairs to ask for another room change, got some breakfast and played some videopoker before I had to go to the meeting place for the kajak trip. Hit another four deuces on deuces wild. Only down $5 for the trip now.

Kajak trip was great. Got in the boat at Hoover Dam, were lucky to have the current go our way as well, and only saw one motorboat right at the end of the trip. Very beautiful and peaceful.

There is a hiking trail a few miles down the highway from Hoover Dam (on the Arizona side) that you can hike to a bluff that has an amazing view of that river from above. There always seems to be someone boating on the river and I've tried imagining what their view point is from down there.
