i think you can still enter diamond lounges at 15k, you just need to pay the 1100 RC.

LOL MGM is the best. I got "bumped" from my room at Delano over to a somewhat upgraded room at Mandalay. Also comping the first night and throwing out resort fees for my stay. Granted it's a work trip, so I guess. I guess I'll just go wild at dinner and it'll offset my decline in spend.

Mandalay Bay is hurting because of the Paddock shooting. They'll probably bend over backward for customers right now.

I don’t think Vegas combines unless they recently reset everyone to $0.

Also I heard that it ow takes 100 hours of poker to get an upgrade.

That would explain the reason there were so many more comped nights in my offers for that property compared to any other Vegas MGM property...was not thinking about the Paddock effect.

Not this week because of a convention onsite. Paying 400 a night to stay at this medicore place which is stuck in the 90s. The desk in my god damn room doesn't even have a power outlet much less one of those modern appliance outlets with USB ports and what not. (Granted when this building was conceived USB ports were just starting to show-up in desktops)

I did hear that all MGM resorts are apparently getting crushed in August overall and not just Mandalay. (MGM did warn of a weak Q3 themselves)

So apparently you don't get MLife credits for your deposit on a room stay as well? What a f'n joke.

The credits will post after the stay has actually occurred. Otherwise the system would be set for all manners of abuse...

That being said, deposits put on the MLife credit card would post along with other purchases when the statement period closes and the account has been paid. If there was a cancellation, then the points will be deducted from the MLife account...

I just became Pearl and it says that comes with a complimentary buffet pass at MGM properties. Anybody know how to redeem?

You may be confusing using the priority line at the buffet (i.e. skip the line) with being awarded a free buffet. I apologize if I'm mistaken. I would visit the MLife desk at the property for which you'd like to use the complimentary buffet.

Ahhh I see thanks. The wording was confusing on the website I was viewing (not mlife)

There seem to be some MGM properties outside of Las Vegas where the buffet practices are a little different...from memory, it seems like it was Tunica or other smaller facility where certain levels got either a pass or a fixed amount towards the buffet.

There are ALSO some stay offers that will come with some manner of F&B credit that can include buffet passes.

MLife benefits page will show you by region where you can redeem. In Biloxi in years past I have just told the cashier at the buffet I want to use my monthly free buffet and they swipe the card.

Has anyone else gotten the email saying-As a thank you for your loyalty, stay with us in Las Vegas between now and December 27 to kick start your earning for next year with a 50,000 Tier Credit Bonus.

Once I called for clarification, I was told by the MLife desk that any stay under a promo is eligible (I have 4/5 comped nights booked at Delano, one night at $60 and this somehow qualifies).

Never seen this before and feels a little too good to be true.

Seems like a fairly standard promo. What is it really costing them to give you 50k tier credits? There's very little value difference between tiers.

Never had any offer from MLife giving away tier credits, especially for a comped stay during high season at a better property. The requirement is a one night stay on any offer, comps included.

Rep said they rolled out 9 new promos just for end of 2018. Agree costs them very little but makes the platinum tier a lot easier having to spend 25% less for the diluted benefits.

Hey guys,

I am based in Sydney but am headed over to Vegas for a week on October 7.

I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to gaming promos and like to try and optimise my return when I degen house games.

I am staying at the Aria so the 25 TC per $1 spend means I am going to have to grind the M Life program instead of TR. My goal is to build enough comp credits that I can get some comp nights when I next come back.

My questions are around TC earning on house games

1) I have read you get 10 TC for every $3 bet on slots. Is this correct?
2) What is the RTP on slots in Vegas (MGM properties). Is the RTP higher on higher cost machines?
3) What is the TC return on Video Poker?
4) Does anyone know (or can I find anywhere) the TC return on different table games? I.e the diffence in return of betting $100 per hand on blackjack, craps or baccarat for an hour?
5) Do any casinos include craps odds bets in average bet size
6) Does any game type/MGM property seem to give a greater comp return to theo loss than others or is this uniform across the board
7) Do they have the Aruze Shoot to Win Craps machine in MGM properties? If so what is the TC/Comp return (if any)
8) Has anyone done the return on ETG vs actual table gwmes? I.e is betting $100 per hand on a electronic blackjack more valuable than doing it on a real table
9) Any other tips or hints anyone can recommend to increase status growth and comp goodness

Thanks guys, appreciate any help I can get!

Then you need to learn rule number 1. DONT CHASE COMPS! Its literally the most ******ed thing to do in a casino.

Stick your card in a machine, give it a couple of spins so they know you're alive, should be fine to generate some vague slightly discounted room offers then go gamble somewhere with good odds. Then use the money you've saved or maybe even won, and pay cash for your room....

Eg They wynn from memory used to need 4 hours a day at $100 average bet at blackjack to get a comp room per night. Great, enjoy that 'free room'.

Secondly by the way, your tier credits are just that, credits for advancing tiers, they're not worth anything and you cant buy anything with them. Gamble lots, and they'll welcome you back, and you'll generate some version of reward credits (express comps I think Mlife call them).

Not exactly the same, but I got an email offer from them under the title of "Your annual evaluation"

Quote:
Alex E, M life Rewards Tier Credits will expire on September 30, but there's still time to take advantage of your M life Rewards membership to earn great rewards and benefits!

Your current Tier Credit balance is 62,468.

To remain Gold next year, you will need to earn 12,532 Tier Credits.

However, if you book your best offer and stay between now and September 30
in Las Vegas, you will automatically remain Gold until 2019!
Could have reached it by spending $500 on dinners etc while I was there, but didnt bother.

The thing that annoys me most about the system is that there's no actual tier credit statement so you can't see what has been added and whats been left off.

The Mlife desk is pretty happy to add on missed out things if you have a receipt, and actually they looked at the credit card statement on my phone and added a large bill, but for the small stuff if you're bar hopping, it would be trickier. In fact on that same statement I had maybe 5 other charges between $20-$50, which I didnt bother getting them to add. I probably should have, and then I might have bothered spending the small remainder to keep gold.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your reply, smoking is also bad for you. A lot of people still do it.

If we can all take the 'chasing comps is bad' and 'I am a massive degen fish' stuff as read that would be great. I am not looking for life coaching, just some assistance on a few questions I have.

With that in mind, if anybody knows the answer to any of the questions I posted above I would appreciate your feedback.

Thanks!

not all slot machines are the same. some are 10$ - 1 tc.

there are e-craps/bubble craps machines in vegas mgm, not sure on manufacturer (quite possibly different limits in different properties)

Got bumped to Pearl early it seems. Anyone else have this experience?
Was in Vegas from 9/27-9/30. On 9/29 i had lost my MLife card and went to the desk to get another, the person said congrats you have reached Pearl and gave me pearl cards.
I got home today and looked at my account and it seems I have only 22465 tier credits listed on my account. I did a good bit of gambling on 9/29 and 9/30 so I would imagine i had even less than the 22465 I have now when they told me I was Pearl on 9/29. Website says 25k needed for Pearl, I have less than that, is this normal?

Yeah if you're close they might just bump you up. It's literally the cheapest thing they can do and then pat themselves on the back for.

Most likely explanation is you played at least 75 hours of poker in the last year in an MGM room. That will give you Pearl status even if you have zero tier credits. That’s the only explanation I can think of that makes sense.

I seemingly picked up 30k additional Mlife tier credits a week or so after I checked out from my last trip out there. Any ideas why I might gotten that? Not that I'm complaining I'm curious.

Anything thing to do is to get a partial comp in a poker room then pay the difference in cash. You will slowly grind up tier credits.
