It might also make a difference if you're playing in the Excal vs Bellagio.

Table games don't count towards express comps as far as I'm aware. You might start getting offers over the coming weeks in your mlife account though.

Good update for everyone: MLife hosts can rebate 10% of actual loss, and you don’t need to be a high roller to qualify.

Just to make sure I'm not insane, have a work trip coming up and my room rate is 900 dollars before taxes and fees. So I'd get 22.5k TCs for this stay correct? 900 x 25?

Get the credit card and multiply that by 3

If I wasn't going back to Vegas that'd be an option. Although, if I get the card in the next few weeks. What's the delay in having them post points? When does MLife roll, Oct 1 or Nov 1?

How long do poker comps last before they expire?

Comps expire after a year. Unless MGM suddenly changes their minds and makes it less than a year.

Has anyone had any luck showing a credit card statement to get tier points added?

Spent $2k at a club, and never got them to swipe the card. No receipt so all I have is the cc statement

Contact the club and get a receipt. Then reach out to MGM.

Is it a year since poker comp earned or a year since last activity?

It is my understanding that an MGM property poker comp dollar earned today expires one year from today. Presumably a first in first out system is in place.

You can no longer keep all comps active and extend expiration by earning more comp dollars. They expire on a rolling basis.

A year since the comp was earned. When they started this, a bunch of players suddenly discovered that many of their comps were taken away and there was no warning this would happen.

Annoyingly I actually could have, I lost 2 $1500 spend receipts, but we paid cash those days.

I spent $2k on my card and asked the card to be swiped, which it turns out not to have been.

They seemed apologetic at the mlife desk, but I pulled up my credit card statement on my phone and he eventually relented and added them manually.

The points were there a short while later taking me to 62k tier.

I guess spending about $500 will get me there, not that I particularly want to..

Too much BS for me.

Simply stay elsewhere and avoid the non-customer-friendly setup.

there was talks for ages that mlife would actually roll mlife poker comps into their main program but afaik that was a load of luke warm BS.

for those who are looking to tier up, get the credit card. 3x the 25 pts per dollar, yielding 75 pts per dollar for $$$ spent at mlife locations.

If I plan on frequenting vegas in q4 2018 - q4 2019, i might do it just to get platinum.

The perks generally blow compared to TR, though this is rapidly changing as TR has been going thru some massive revamps over the last few years.

I think the only benefit to either card right now is the perk of partner locations:

- Atlantis for TR
- Bahamar for MGM (someone please confirm this is still the case)
- NCL cruises for TR (free cruise)
- MGM for Royal Caribbean lines (free cruise)

I recall earning platinum would take roughly $19k in spend on the mlife credit card under a set of optimal conditions. Comparing this with a straight 2% cash back card, ($380), the cruise deal seems better (~$2500 or so).

That cant be right, that would mean that you could be platinum for $2666 in spend. Anyone that had the card would be platinum after a short stay at bellagio or aria.

The credit card earns as below:

Quote:
Your Points and Tier Credits add up fast
Earn up to 3 Points and 3 Tier Credits per $1 spent1 when you make purchases with your M life® Rewards Mastercard®. Use it for purchases at M life Rewards destinations, supermarkets, restaurants, on gas – everywhere you shop.

3X - Earn 3 points and 3 tier credits per $1 spent at M life Rewards Destinations1
2X - Earn 2 points and 2 tier credits per $1 spent on gas and supermarkets1
1X - Earn 1 point and 1 tier credit per $1 spent everywhere else1
and tier credits earn as:

25 per $ of regular spend.

So a $1000 spend at an mlife property would be (25x1000) + (3x1000) giving 28000 tier.

Not (3x25) x 1000 giving 75000 tier

Just to make sure I'm not stupid here... I need 35k points to keep my tier. Spending 1400 on room and food would hit that, right? (Not including tax + fees)

Have a work trip next week and would almost hit that off room charges alone.

Do you have the MLife credit card? That would alter the equation slightly...not to mention allowing you the 3x points even on the things like taxes and fees. Every point/dollar matters...

I'm contemplating the same thing since I was within 10K of the next tier jump. Seems a shame to leave it on the table when I could clear that in a few nights/three day weekend at the Aria.

Even if I fell short, I feel like if I applied for the card and got approved I'd only have 1 billing cycle if that to earn points given how they reset in September / October.

If I just get my MLife swiped for one or two dinners, then I'm all set. Do waiters really care if the Mlife card doesn't match the credit card? Not my expense account this trip.

Cannot speak to that since, if I was eating at a property, I was also just charging it to the room, which meant the Mlife card info was already in the system. You could do that and just have whoever you were with pay you out of their pocket.

I see on bravo that Poker at Caesar’s earns $2/hr comps plus 34 tier points per hour. I know nothing about the system. Is 34/hour valuable at 50+
Hours per week? What are they redeemable for?

Tier Credits aren’t redeemable per se. 15K TC earns Diamond status, 5K for Platinum status. Different perks associated with each tier status.

25K TC required for access to Diamond lounges.

Reward Credits, or comps, can be used for food at many restaurants at any Caesars owned property throughout the country. They can also be used for hotel stays and gift shops etc.
