258, big loss. I've been pretty busy at work, Koreans are back but luckily they've been requesting casino buffet for dinner 4/5 nights per week. Unfortunately that requires me going to one of the ****tiest casinos in America (Hollywood Casino Columbus) but at least I don't feel like I have to order a bunch of fried monstrosities for the table. I hope my weight loss isn't just from having the perpetual runs from eating the (healthy) slop on the buffet

Planning to be in Vegas at some point in April, probably a lot of blackjack, PLO and looking for new girls to put babies into.

190. lots of golf, a few strenuous hikes, trying to maintain <1 ltr beer/day. vastly reduced dairy in diet.

heading to Vegas for 11 days. always a threat to sabotage a diet.

Missed my weigh in this week as a result of staying on strip for amazing poker action. Catching up on sleep then weigh in tomorrow, but a few things I know in regards to my progress and goals:

Steps have been hit almost every day over 7,500. And on lower days due to long sitting hours I generally make up for the next day. Averaging somewhere closer to 10,000 steps per day.

Hike/bike/additional walks have been hit or miss and well below my 5x/week goal. Quick turn around trip to Phx and putting in lots of grind hours are the main culprit to this miss.

Caloric intake crushing the 2000 or below goal almost daily. Have had 2 slip ups total but both times the intake didn't exceed 2500. The bad news here: IPAs. Lol. I've had a few days of only 1000-1200 in food and matched that in IPA calories. Yikes! My 10x alcohol day goal during the 75 days is going to be missed. I will add on to the goal an additional 5 days for 15 total within that 75 day window. I still feel fairly good about this, and a few unexpected friend meet ups from out of town is what has caused me to miss the pace to hit the original mark.

As expected, only down 1 lb after a pretty mixed/bad week goals wise... 225.4
March Madness holding me down at the tables a lot, but hope to keep the activity levels up despite the priority being to make some moolah this month! Main goal, just say no to the IPAs!

@DoubleR I think steps are a key for those of us with corporae jobs or pro poker players. The best thing that happened to me lately from a health perspective was my bottom b!tch getting a dog. I was pretty pissed about it at first but I walk the thing every day for about an hour in the summer and am counting on dropping 20-30 pounds as a result like I have the past few summers. He's a big (good) boy and super smart (goldendoodle), so he really needs the walking for his mental and physical health. It's win-win for me beyond the health considerations, I always get some play from my girl and usually have a conversation or two with some hot white chicks while we're out.

255 new scale at my house, hope it's accurate. My suits are not fitting the way I like them. I hate suit shopping but happy this is my reason!

You guys mind if I came to the party late?

47 Years old, 5'9" 215 lbs. 5 years ago I was doing cardio on my own 5x a week and weight training with a personal trainer 3x a week. I was down to 190 and pretty darn fit.

I weighed 255lbs at my highest point. I had never exercised in my life to that point. I started doing cardio on my own and got down to 205 in about a year. I started seeing a trainer when I just could not lose any more on my own and in 6 months he got another 15 lbs off of me basically weight training 3 days a week, 60 minutes at a time. (While still doing my cardio 5 days a week)

Then 4 years ago I switched jobs losing access to the gym and trainer I had (I would go every day at lunch). I tried a gym close to my home, but I hated the vibe and the equipment was very outdated. I bought an elliptical to have at home, but it is VERY easy to just not use it. Add the fact that I ran into health issues that prevented exercise and I was drinking 3x a week and boom, I am 25lbs heavier than I was 5 years ago and much more out of shape.

After many half hearten attempts, now is the time.

So at 215 my goal weight is 175. I have not weighed 175 in 28 years, so I hope it is something I can achieve.

Welcome to the thread pal, nice to have another Ohio person in here! I am going to miss my weigh-in this week, went out of town and don't have access to my scale. Hammered down my April Vegas dates to 4/17-4/21. May rent a car and drive to LA one day just to make the drive, never done it and have read Fear in Loathing in Las Vegas t least 4 times so I feel like I owe it to Dr. Gonzo to check out bat country. Suggestions on traffic/peak sunrise/sunset times would be appreciated. I can read an almanac and figure out when those are but wondering when would be the most picturesque times to do it.

I've got a lot of work to do to recover from a terrible week goal wise. I had two very low step days that cost me hitting my 7,500 average. If you take out those two days (My recovery days off from poker/strip/March Madness on Monday and Tuesday), I hit 7,409 average steps. Adding those two days back in, and I only hit 6,100 steps per day. Fail.

Caloric intake and daily entering of calories in my (M)y (F)itness (P)al also slacked off most of the week and I missed logging almost completely. This needs to get back on track as I close out March, and get started on an April that absolutely needs to crush if I am going to hit my 75 day objectives.

I have signed up to do a charity 5K in the beginning of May with a group of friends here in Vegas, so I have some work to do to be able to successfully complete that without being in last place, ha! As far as other additional activities (5x per week), I need to get back on track with those as well. I am planning on doing some low impact cardio stuff on weekdays that I am on strip. As a Diamond level for Caesers properties, I have access to all the fitness centers and in the past I have incorporated breaks in my day to spend some time on the treadmill and stationary bikes, so I am looking to get back to those habits as well in order to really make progress in the weight loss.

As far as I see it, I still have 25 pounds more to go this year to hit the first big milestone, so I have a lot of work to do. No weigh in today, will do my next weigh in at the end of the month/start of April to show any and all progress for March in that post.

251 this morning, the dong is actually looking bigger I must say

Going to be getting fitted for new suits this weekend, for the first time since high school I'm excited to do it. Was considering doing one of the online suit companies that you send your sizes to and they make them for you. I had some friends who were broke business and law students who swore by this method of buying suits several years ago (circa 2007), I don't know if it is still a big thing or not but maybe I'll give it a try as well.

Starting off April at almost the same number as last posted, 224.1. Have been getting close to goal daily in steps but a little off pace because my down days are way down when I miss. Need to step it up, pun intended.

Registered to do a charity 5k with some friends here in Vegas which is in about 5 weeks, so hopefully that sparks a fire to keep the activity levels high!

Ugh this is super frustrating. On my 3rd week of diet and exercise I am down a total of 2 lbs. Last week I was between 1100-1400 calories a day and I did cardio 4 days....and I gained a pound! Wtf!!

I suspect I may not be eating enough. With my exercise calorie burn days, I was under 1000 calories input for the day even though I was not hungry. I am going to add more calories this week and see how that goes.

What kind of exercise do you do? If that builds muscle, you might lose fat even though your weight stays the same. That's a good thing though, since extra muscle means that you are burning extra calories.

If you work out hard and cut calories, you really have to make sure you're eating well to not jeopardize your health.

As of last Satuday, I am at 135lbs. That's a little higher than I wanted to be, but I feel pretty good. Starting tomorrow, I'll prolly gain 1-2 pounds over the next couple days while carbo-loading.

Right now strictly cardio. I do 30 minutes on the elliptical M and W (aprox 400 calorie burn) and 45 minutes T and TH (aprox 600 calorie burn). If I don't keep that schedule, I at lease try to get in 150 minutes per week some way some how of cardio. I throw in some 5lb free weights and some half push ups but nothing major.

Thing is, I am not hungry at all. I am tracking every thing, measuring everything and I am very satisfied. Some days when I complete my food diary, it will even warn me I am not eating enough, so I am upping my calories this week and I will see what happens. As it stands now, I am literally on a 2 week stall 3 weeks into my program, lol.

I have been doing a lot of crunches, body weight squats/lunges and push ups. You can do them while you're sitting around either at work or at home and they really help me feel better/stronger not just help with the weight loss.

Crushing steps goal, calories still a struggle tho.

Averaged just shy of 10,000 step per day last week, and on pace to break that this week.

Hiking and biking activity still pretty low as a result of grinding max volume this month. Next weigh in beginning of next week.

I am hitting all my calorie and exercise goals, but things are still slow. I am down 4lbs nearing the end of my 4th week. Upped Tuesday and Thursday's to 45 minutes on the elliptical instead of 30. I am also going to cut my lawn tonight which is a great calorie burn.

I've just been logging my calories on MFP, but will jump in here with you boys, until I go to Vegas for a month of liver punishment.

Was 227 when I weighed myself on Friday, and I'll be happy if I can get myself down to 210 by Vegas.

Can't really assist myself with cardio as I have MS, and my legs don't work

I generally try to keep my calories <2k per day, with targets of 230p/135c/60f.

I'm not super strict, but try to get reasonably close to those, and steer clear off too much junk through the week.

Sorry for the lack of posting out of me lately ITT. In Vegas now. Financially, I'm down significantly for the trip, lost 2000 last night playing blackjack and tilted another 1k-ish off playing roulette loading up on Mike Vick only to hit Reggie Miller, Pacman Jones, Lebron, Johnny Bench, and (Magic) Shaq.

Unfortunately the scale was not before I left.

Weighed in at 255 on Sunday night. I would like to say that I'm adding muscle and still losing fat based on the fact that I keep losing inches (at the belt not below the belt ) but I can't really tell my arms or legs are getting more defined so it will be tough to say without actually getting my body fat analyzed.

Thats great! I dropped 60lbs recently and got down to 127lbs (LLSNL Weight loss thread).

Then after a months of neglect (no exercise, no diet, but no snacking and very little drinking) I was back up to 136lbs! I thought it had been a few months but then I reviewed my numbers and I was up that much in just over a month. Sure, some of that was food and water weight but it was still not good (and I looked noticeably fatter in the mirror). So now after a week of dieting I'm back to 132lbs (since it's the first week most of that is not real weight loss) and I'm going to keep at it until I get below 125lbs.

Right now I'm just doing one normal meal a day (examples: a bowl at Chipotle, a cheesesteak, some tacos) and 2 protein shakes at other times of the day which ensures I don't get hungry. Plus I take vitamins.

Welcome to the thread DC, I plan to try the one meal per day with protein shakes in morning and lunch when I get back from Vegas. How tall are you DC? I haven't been under 130 since grade school but always dreamed of being a jockey. You ever do it or consider it?

I'm 5'6". Unfortunately, I'm way too big to be a jockey. Would need to be between 108 and 118lbs. In high school I was a thin 125lbs. If I could get down to 118lbs that would be amazing. Baby steps. Right now shooting for 125lbs.
