Quick advice for those moving to vegas avoid the eastside of town by boulder,freemont and what not, North LV is safest and within 15min of strip. Rather than share a furnished room in someones house your better off staying at a cheap weekly hotel like LA Quinta its not the best and you'll see some characters and vagrants, but if your grinding you wont be home all that much.

If you rent a room and sign a contract be meticulous and read each detail and know how many people your expected to share the house with, I got screwed when renting a room thinking it would be me and two girls, turns out one of the girls had her boy friend living there as well she worked all night and he tattooed his idiot friends all day.

Nothing got resolved since it was the land lords daughters boyfriend I expressed desire to leave asked for my deposit landlord said fine if I find another tenant within the month she claimed she never found a tenant and kept my $500 deposit.

In NV your lease will consist of clauses in which you cannot sue or have legal representation in a landlord dispute so read everything carefully. You can find a decent place in a decent area for 7-800/month(no more than $1500 down depending on credit). BTW don't bother with the location agencies that offer to find you an apartment they're a waste of time. If visiting for the first time or moving for the first time just rent a weekly for a few months and get acclimated with the city, let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks for the info Gonzo. I've heard that most places North, NE, and East are to be avoided and it's more ideal to be west or even south of the strip. Is this true?

Looking for a furnished apartment from April - June. One BR / Studio only please. I'm a 28 male who will work part time freelancing from my computer in the apartment and play poker the rest of the time. What I need:

• One BR / Studio - NO ROOMMATES
• Safety - This is most important
• Convenience - I will have a car, so this is not a deal breaker. Close to the strip is preferable, but not at the cost of safety (will consider close suburbs within ~ 20 min drive to strip)
• Parking
• Lack of roaches / bedbugs / other critters
• Kitchen - not a deal breaker. but would be nice

I'm looking for a poker player to share a condo with from 24 May - 20 July.

It's a 2 bedroom place located right behind the high roller.
It's called meridian luxury condos. I'm sure many have heard of it.
Great location, literally 2 min walk from strip.
Very nice place, with swimming pool, gym ect...
2 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge with wifi and tv. Large sofa.

The total cost will be $2,500 each for the full stay.
Plus $500 each deposit which is refundable at end of stay.
That's including all fees, rent and bills.
Total stay 57 nights from 24 May - 20 July.
This comes to roughly $44 per night.

There is also a place called the Jockey club which is located right next to the cosmopolitan.
This is a 1 bedroom with sofa bed in the living room.
If anyone is happy to sleep on the sofa bed, then we can go ahead with this instead.
This will bring the cost down to $1,650 each roughly.

Im planning to go to Vegas during Summer. Date depends between late July and early August. Whatever would fit the roommate best. I want to stay at least for one month to play poker mainly. I tried to find a cheap accommodation via Airbnb but the offers below €1k/Month are not acceptable. Either the rooms just suck or they are located to far off the strip. On the other hand there are whole houses that can easily be shared by up to 4 people. They are usually pretty nice with swimminpool and everything... Please let me know if you're interested and we can work something out. Sorry for poor English.

By the way, maybe there are other suggestions to find a cheap accommodation for one month. I have only checked Airbnb. Is there some local market for vacation apartments or something like that?

I already have a place to stay off of the strip, but if anybody has any room for a roommate June 2nd - June 12th let me know. I know most people are looking for month long roommates or longer in houses, but to share a hotel on the strip, rio or Gold Coast would be ideal. Not looking to pay over $50 a day though unless it's Aria, Venetian or the Wynn or something.
