The Las Vegas Lifestyle forum gets many threads about people looking for a roommate or a room for rent. This thread will be the central place for those posts. This can include short term and longterm rentals for vacation or residency. This does not include trying to buy comped hotel rooms belonging to another player at a resort.

Buyers Only, No Sellers/Landlords

This thread is only for those looking to rent a room or looking for a roommate. Sellers and landlords may not post in this thread. Those with a room available should PM the poster. If you don't have enough posts to receive/send PM's, don't post or bother contacting a poster. This is a service to forum members. It is not a general marketplace for every random person on the Internet.

When making a post, make sure to include the part of town you are interested in, if that matters. This will keep you from getting irrelevant PM's.

Sellers and landlords may post an available room in the Marketplace forum. They may not post in this thread.

Buyer Beware

Make sure to research the offer, including whether the seller has the rights to the room being offered and if there are any fees beyond the quoted rent.

Please do not post personal information like names, phone numbers or current addresses in this thread. Do all of that privately.

Two Plus Two Not Responsible

Two Plus Two accepts no responsibility for arrangements created on this forum. You enter into any rental agreement at your own risk.

This thread is a test. If it becomes a problem, we will move all discussion for those looking for rooms to the Marketplace forum.

Looking for a room in vegas. 28 years old, I play online Bovada tournaments for a living currently. I put in serious hours and would like to branch out to live play in vegas while continuing to play online. PM me for further info.

Looking for a place to stay in Las Vegas or nearby suburbs this week. A hotel on the strip would be perfect, but I'd be open to a spare bed / couch, whatever, in someone's house or apartment, as long as it is safe. Could provide some 2+2 references. Just want to get out of town and play some poker this week, don't want to pay too much.

Just so you know you should contact Bovada before you come out here because they aren't taking no one from Nevada anymore something about debit cards not working I know this is for new players but since you live in Mass I don't know how this will pplay out I play on Bovada myself.

P.S. I used to Live in CT are you a Celtic fan??

Is anyone with a room reading this thread? Posted above with no replies last week...been trying to work with airbnb.com but places keep showing available and then are not when I inquire about it. Would probably prefer to stay with someone here anyway. Would still like to go sometime late this week to early next week, let me know if anyone wants to share a room or has space to share for a low fee. Thanks!

Airbnb is illegal in most of the Las Vegas area. That may be part of your problem. In Clark County it is illegal to rent a residential property for less than 30 days. Neighbors call code enforcement and HOAs if they catch it going on. Party houses were a big problem a few years back during the housing implosion and this law fixed it. This doesn't affect any roommate situation or sub-leases though.

Hmm, that's weird. There are definitely lots of listings in the Las Vegas area on airbnb. Sounds to me more like hotels trying to keep competition away, like the taxi business fighting Uber out of the area.

Interesting, though as I said I would prefer to stay with someone from here anyway...doesn't look like many people interested in helping out though.

The only place you can legally rent a residential property for less than 30 days in Clark County is North Las Vegas. It seems like the casinos would have been in on it, but it was pushed by HOAs that got sick of people renting mansions on weekends and throwing huge parties that kept people up all night.

I suspect that if you are quiet, nothing would ever happen to you and most of the punishment goes to the owner of the property anyway. You may only get an unwanted visit from Metro if you piss off the neighbors that know what is going on. A company I once worked for had this happen to them in Southern Highlands.

It is enough of a deterrent to keep intelligent homeowners out of the business. It should also make one question the legitimacy of a short term rental ad not in NLV.

We had one of these in my neighborhood. It was actually squatters claiming to hold a lease on the house and subbing it on weekends for parties. It ended with a SWAT raid for an unrelated issue. The house sat vacant and boarded up for a year until the foreclosure finally went through. The parties and squatters destroyed the $400k house. That is the scenario the law hopes to prevent.

Hi guys, didn't find any presentation 3d, so i'm gonna introduce myself here before asking you help.

My name is Simon, i'm a 24 yo poker player from Italy that has grinded his way online through the mid-stakes. Always read this forum, but never join it till now.

In mid December i'm gonna have a long holiday in Vegas (3month) with a friend of mine, so we are looking for a place to stay, flat or house.
We've already looked for small flats and we have some ideas, but I thought that maybe we can find a better solution in the poker community

Any help? Appriciate anyways...

Hey guys...thinking of coming out there for 3+ weeks in Feb. and I'd like to rent a room, or sublet a studio for that time. I'm not picky, but I need fast Internet.

I thought I'd post up in case someone has one of these (room or studio) they'd like to rent. Alternately, if anyone has a suggestion I'd appreciate it. I don't think any traditional hotel is going to work, just because of the added cost of daily (and often for crapola service) Internet charges.

Thanks.

You don't understand why your post asking to rent a room was moved into the sticky thread for people looking to rent rooms? Really?

Hello all, 32 year old male here who has played poker for a living up and down the east coast with brief stints in Vegas, now looking to move from the east coast to Vegas to grind there. Quiet, clean, and relatively outgoing, I'm looking for something very convenient to the strip, as I don't own a vehicle. Legit walking distance (not "if you don't mind walking through the hood, it's only a 30 minute walk from my place") to the V or Bellagio and CC would be ideal, but as I know there aren't a lot of residential options within walking distance of those, I'd be content to find something that's just a short walk from a bus stop, and a short bus ride away from said casinos. By that, I mean total walk + bus ride time should be 20 minutes or less. I intended on moving out there January 1, but so far, Craiglist shared housing ads have not been helpful (and wow, Vegas has a lot of creepy ads on there...), and my subscription to roommates.com has been a disappointment.

*Seeking furnished rooms only, please.

Thanks for your time.

Seeking a furnished room close to the strip for 3/8 - 3/13. Let me know what you have available. Anywhere from 1-3 bedrooms depending on price. Property will be used by 1-3 professionals, not a party house at all, just in town working during the MWC and Pac-12 Conference tournaments.

I'm hoping someone with experience renting housing for the six weeks of the WSOP can help me out a bit here. Apologies if I've made some horrible, posting in the wrong subsection of the incorrect sticky blah blah blah. Just let me know, and I'll move accordingly.

I'm looking to come to LV from June 1st until July 17th, and am interested in the condos like Panorama, the Turnberry, The Meridian, etc. I've called the first two and they don't do rentals that short. But I've seen posters on here claim to have stayed in both locations for only the WSOP schedule. Does anyone know how, or where I need to go to look into these options? I read Adam Junglen's blog entry from a few years back where he said he was "living back at Panorama Towers in a one bedroom furnished apartment, just for the summer, it’s a perfect nook for me during the WSOP." So apparently it is doable. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The homeowners associations of the towers you mentioned dont allow rentals for periods less than year. They are cracking down on the violators.

I own at Panorama and the board just issued a warning to all owners about short term rentals will be fined.

The improving real estate market in Vegas has closed the doors to many short term deals.

Good Luck.

FYI...MGM Signature which is attached to MGM Casino has monthly rentals for about 2K. 550 sg ft with small kitchen.

If neither of you were able to see why I posted that I can't help you. For the Mod: the only person who posted agreeing with you was Thousand Tigers. What does that tell you?

There is a sticky in this forum for this, but nobody ever reads it. Eventually a mod will notice your post and move it there, so if it goes missing you'll know where to look.
