I think we probably need one of these now. This thread will be strictly moderated. Instead of making threads like WHERE DID THIS GUY'S THREAD GO NAZI MODS OMG post here if you have questions and/or don't hesitate to PM me or post here in regards to a thread you think that needs actions in it.

Lol, thank you.
Maybe there should be a min post requirement to create new threads in here being that 9/10, a new thread by a new poster is a topic that can already be answered by a simple LVL search.

I have always thought this, especially since starting to frequent LVL. What gives Gobbo? Why is there not at least a minimum post requirement, or even better, a rule set similar to unlocking the ability to PM?

There are very few subforums I can think of where this should not be enacted for the betterment of the Forum as a whole (e.g. BBV4L). This has to have been discussed at some point by the 2P2B. What are the admins' reasoning behind not instituting this rule?

(Serious questions)

Edit: Is Augie no longer a mod here?

I don't know. You could take it up with them. But I think large post count does not necessarily mean you know things about Vegas or have valid questions and vice versa.

^Clearly. Any logical person would agree with this.

However, the point is not the specific rule set but rather simply having one in the first place (even if imperfect). Again, it does seem that 8/10 to 9/10 of these types of repeat threads are started by users with single digit post counts. The OPs are typically very low content, if any content at all (e.g. 1st Post: "Hey guys. I'm coming to Vegas next week. What's the best place to stay and where are the softest games with the most +ev." 2nd Post: "Why are you guys so mean? I was just asking a simple question. **** you guys!"

It's more than likely this would provide a 'speed bump' of sorts to lazy and self-entitled thread starters. In turn this would not only provide a better user experience for all forum users but also create less clutter and pointless threads that Mods, such as yourself, would have to read, monitor and edit/delete (making your job easier).

Seems like a no brainer improvement imo but it doesn't seem like you're interested.

Oh well. Thanks for modding regardless dude.

It's not that I'm not interested it's that I can't do it. You'd have to get the administrators involved to be able to do it and I don't even know if the software can do that.

I've been wondering for a while why the thread was still open. When every other post is "fight me", it's already devolved into something useless.

But why if it's been allowed to live for so long is it completely removed? Why not remove the death threat (or inform law enforcement if you think they could be serious, I suppose) and lock the thread with a note as to why.

I just don't like threads disappearing when they've been there forever.

That includes threads like Dan's blog. A great many people contributed to that thread, and there was more there than just Dan's postings. Why does the guy who started it get to decide to completely remove it, particularly when he wasn't the only one posting to it? Is that a general rule? Anybody who creates a thread can have it removed at any time?

I believe that's the rule. If you want a thread you started deleted, 2p2 will do it but you get banned for one month for said request.

Not a hard and fast rule. Depends if they want it deleted because they're an idiot or because someone else severely **** on it.

bav, who is Dan? To be honest the only reason I didn't do something about thewoods' thread before was because I didn't know it existed. I can't read every thread.

HCClubHopper. I understand why he'd want to close the thread and end his own participation in same given that people kinda turned on him, but why nuke many months of 2+2 history?

TheWoods thing is understandable. The thread jumped the shark very early on, but it didn't seem like something that needed to be wiped off the planet. By all means, close it. Infract the idiots. Ban the death threaters. But I seriously HATE it when threads simply vanish.

Gobbo, I am not member of this site but can you please remove all pictures from the HarborLaw trip reports? If you guys decided HL faked everything then that is violating someone's privacy (obv i'm in the photos). I think all photos should be removed.

"DS" has arrived!

Sorry to hear you got unknowingly wrangled into the thread of HL's lies. I do believe the threads have been deleted recently, but I'm not positive. However, if the threads are deleted already, your pics went with them.

Your pics will only have been linked here from other websites. In this case PhotoBucket iirc.

Although they're no longer visible on here, they are likely still on the web, as they were never hosted by twoplustwo.

To say the pics went with the thread is wrong.

Well. If the the thread isn't on two plus two than the pics aren't on two plus two to be viewed either. This is specifically the request I replied to. Therefore, logically, they went away from two plus two with the thread.

I'm not sure where you got that I was stating they're now gone from the entire Interwebs.

That being said, thanks for the detailed investigation here Mark. Solid work getting to the bottom of this!

Her concern was clearly that pictures of her were on the internet without her permission. She was aware they were on 2+2, so came here first, but may not of been aware of outside hosting.

Seems a fairly obvious thing to point out when dolts are claiming the pictures are magically gone forever.

Again, thanks for getting to the bottom of this Mark. It's due to the diligence of Chavs like you that we can keep our Internets safe!
