Any recommendations for massages (not the Craigslist/AC Boardwalk) kind. I'm staying at the Venetian but the rates @ the Canyon Ranch is like 150ish for 50min. Is there any better deals around?

I hear a lot of MTT players are staying at Panorama I have looked online yet can't find anything. If you book in advance how much would a place run you per month. (or a site for rates and about the towers)

Can anybody from Canada breifly describe from personal experience how long the process takes when driving ~20k USD from Canada ->USA?

Also,
Will my bank freak out with me asking for 20k usd?
What is my response?
Should I phone ahead and tell them to make sure to have enough "on hand"?

I can't even go into my American bank and withdraw 20k USD. Call in advance and order the money so they have it on hand. You will not be able to just walk in and withdraw this much money, and will NOT be able be able to do it with foreign currency.

12 month non-furnished Panorama units are going for about $2000/mo right now. Would be a great deal to find something ~$3000 furnished with a short term option. The condo market is pretty garbage right now, so you might even be able to workout a short term lease for a property that otherwise wouldn't accept such a deal.

Thanks for the responses.

Next, I am about to book one of the mgm singature junior suites. I am staying for 11 nights so I dont really want to **** up my decision.

Has anybody ever stayed in one of the mgm sig. suites that can comment? Or any sentiments about the mgm in general would be great.

Hey Jakhamma, I haven't stayed there but I am booked there from June 16th - July
7th and they sound pretty fantastic. The Signature gets rave reviews over at tripadvisor.com. I know of a few other Aussie poker players staying at Signature aswell, so should be no shortage of poker players there.

Are you wiring money there by any chance?

I want to wire money there really badly, but doubt they would let me turn it to cash very quickly and I want to play the 5k 6m event the day after arriving so.......

Wire money to the Bellagio. Bellagio chips are good as gold in Vegas, and they are acceptable for use in WSOP buyins.

so my understanding is the mgm signature is attached to the regular mgm, but is "exclusive"?

I haven't tryed it, but I'm sure a majority of casinos would cash them if you wanted to gamb0000l. I do know that the Rio accepts them for WSOP buyins.

last year, if memory serves, you had to trade chips from other casinos in at the main casino cage (not the wsop cage) but this was relatively easy... this is for cash game monies... never tried buying into an event with them..

bellagio ->rio cash chips ->buying to wsop cage seems simple enough.

I have not driven across, but I flew back into Toronto with >10k last year. I simply had to go to 'secondary inspection', fill out the paper work, and walk out. 10 mins maybe.

You'll have to bump it up into the $50 trick. Of course, if you're staying at the B or equivalent, make that the $100 trick.

I have stayed at MGM Signature a couple times now and am staying there next week. In short, its fantastic.

If its just you, book the junior suite, the one bedroom will be way too big. The condos are quite nice and having a kitchen is fantastic. I like to get up and make/eat my breakfast while I wake up, with the TV or computer on. Best place to stay in Vegas if you ask me.

You have access to everything at MGM and MGM guests don't have access to Signature.

PM me if you have any other questions.

I am planning on travelling from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon South Rim in my hire car. The drive is supposed to take 4.5 hours acording to google maps, but I reckon 3 hours averaging 90 mph should be easy enough.

My question - what are the chances of me being caught speeding on this journey, and what are the consequences going to be if I do?

Thanks!

90 isn't that fast driving through the desert. I'd say very low and you'll get a ticket at best.

is there a link on information needed to wire money to the Rio cage for cash games/or just to be able to take out to another casino for cash games?... not the WSOP entrant wire.
