Huh, I thought Zarkana there was great, it has been gone for several years though. I think the one there before that was based on Elvis.

Where is the best place for PLO? I’ve been checking Bravo and usually only see games at Aria or Wynn. Seems like it doesn’t really run out there other than those two rooms

What is nowadays the best way to avoid big transaction or currency change fees?

I only have a German bank account and if I withdraw Cash at the ATM or whatever they charge ridiculously high fees or give the worst exchange rates.

Can I wire to a Casino and then get Cash at the Desk? Amount is around 10k € approximately

Played both in January. Wynn game was significantly better.

When traveling abroad (American traveling to Europe and Asia) I always got the best rates withdrawing from ATMs. I also use credit cards that do not impose an exchange surcharge.

When exchanging cash in Vegas nothing beats
Foreign Money Exchange
(702) 791-3301
101 Convention Center Dr Tower #101, Las Vegas, NV 89109

They rate 4.6/5 on Google and gave me the best rate by far to convert Canadian cash to US dollars.

First step would be to get an account at a German bank that doesn't charge for international ATM withdrawals like DKB.

Does anyone know if there's anywhere on the strip that sells Golden Knights merch?

Not sure if serious, but there's a VGK store across from the Park MGM pool entrance. It's on the way to the game if you are coming from the Aria tram. There are other sports stores selling merch, but the one in Park is all VGK.

Park MGM right as you turn a corner in the hallway walking from Aria.

At that point you might as well walk over to the stadium and visit the team store. It's open daily from 10 am to 7 PM.

The store at the Park MGM is kind of dinky, but walk another 5-10 minutes and you're at The Armory.

I don’t think it got lost. Just almost no one voluntarily drinks miller high life. All casinos have free beer better than high life so I don’t think many would know. Sorry.

Yeah Miller is an easy coast brand of piss water. Unless you grew up drinking it as a kid, ain't no one having that.

Perhaps a Corona instead? Anything actually

miller high life might be better than what Cosmo is serving as mixed drinks for the last 6 months.

I'm always amazed at the people drinking Miller, Bud, Coors, etc. in a casino when they can get any other (and much) better beers for free, too.

If anyone cares, you can get $3 PBRs (the Frank Booth special!) at the Orleans this weekend as part of their Rockabilly celebration.

I don't drink, but just for curiosity what are better beers you can get at a casino

"Better" is always relative but at least the next price level of popular brands at the licor store including imported stuff like Heineken.

I think most Strip casinos also have a couple things considered "craft beer".

(FWIW, I'm a co-owner in a craft beer brand and don't mind drinking something super easy like Coors Lite. Definitely don't need an IPA while playing poker)

I would look for any local craft beers the casino might have first, and try those. After that I would look for my favorite main stream IPAs. Corona would be my go to if nothing sounded good and I wanted to take it easy.

Need more info (If you don't mind saying). Is it something I can find in the Denver area?

CET used to stock Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (my goto, #1 by volume) and maybe others by SN but I always found it a bit skunky, like it had been stored improperly or not served cold enough (IMO). I think MGM has some Four Peaks offerings, Kilt Lifter being the most main-stream, but Hop Knot and 8th Street Ale are both very good (not too threatening) options. I know I've seen some Laguinitas IPA taps, just not sure which casinos have it.

Are there really no better options than ATM's for people traveling internationally?

If we WD $10k and maybe win something, we ideally don't wanna have to carry all that cash going home.

Being able to use ATM's for free (minus conversion fee) is a huge improvement over the traveler check days.

Getting a large amount of money in a foreign country with the goal of having even more money in that currency at the end of your trip is an extreme edge case. For Vegas and the WSOP specifically there's a good chance you find someone to trade with, especially if you're from a country that uses €. That's 350mil people. Other than that you can try to trade for Crypto or PokerStars money.

If you want to send a lot of money, you can also do that directly via wire transfer to the casino cage. If you cash big in a WSOP event, you can have them send a wire transfer to your bank.

Supposedly wsop is not accepting incoming wires this year.
