I assume you're talking MGM's Gold. Any match of Caesers?

From MGM correct, no idea about Cesars.

I think it is my friend. As a LONG time local, this has been one of those "new" casino projects that has been out there seemingly forever. So I am genuinely curious to see if the wait is worth it.

Sometimes I've been pleasantly surprised when a new casino replaces an old one and the new casino knows me because my play at the old casino. Example: Everyone who was a rated player at the Desert Inn got an RFB offer from the Wynn.

How about the Circa which is on the site of the former Las Vegas Club? Do you think they would remember me as a former patron of LVC?

fwiw, RIP HyperArena at Luxor.

Had the misfortune of being stuck at the Luxor earlier today. Walked by this place.... All of the computers were gone and there were otherwise no employees visible. The only thing left of note were a couple of wall video screens that had a graphic posted with something like "MLB welcomes you to the FanZone". OK, sounds like they are devoting this space to the A'$ but isn't this a bit premature?

The only thing I remember about Luxor is that they had an ok steakhouse there at some point. Not sure if it's still there, I haven't been in many years. I used to pass through Vegas semi-regularly on the way to the Nevada Test Site. I was usually travelling with my boss and he loved that steakhouse, so much so that we always had to stop and eat there even if we were already dead tired and behind schedule. I never thought it was anything special but I wasn't one to turn down a free steak dinner on the boss.

depends if they bought their data base or not but I haven't heard anything about this.

A lot of Caesar's customers got RIO offers recently.

I mean it's a dump but good for expensive weekends. Shockingly NYE weekend and Superbowl weekend aren't blacked out for me even though I'm a crap customer.

I'm hoping it was closed for a private event. Their calendar shows several in December. Unfortunately nothing in January. I've worked several events there.

Haven't spent much time at Ceasars lately.

Man, they've really gone to the next level treating customers like chit.

Got thrown out of the sportsbook yesterday for trying to watch some of the game without paying $25. Was on a break from poker. Have a diamond card. Treated like a vagrant.

Currently in about an hour line to get a lousy $100 food comp. They closed down the rewards desk and replaced it with 3 spots at a cashier cage.

It's like open hostility at this point.

The charging for seats at sportsbooks when they aren't even busy thing is very tilting.

no it is definitely not everywhere in Vegas other than on big sports days like the SuperBowl, March Madness or Kentucky Derby and a few places on NFL Sundays ( *cough* Westgate *cough*).

I would actually be curious as well to see a list of any sports books that charge on a regular basis. I know of none.

Even a dumpy book like the Flamingo wanted 50 bucks to take a seat on a random College Football Saturday in September. Paris was charging too. Pretty sure PH was as well. CP def was.

damn I really had no idea. Ridiculous. There is no charging like this at the locals casinos I've ever seen. Just another reason to avoid the lolstrip.

I was, surprised by this recently in vegas... But I am not regular at all

To me, the issue was charging $50+ when it wasn't busy but might be busy.. Single nfl night game or pac12/Mac Saturday night college

Venetian charges $150 when I was there and there wasn't one customer in basic seating area... Hostess said "it was really crowded earler". I said "you are charging people now"

Does anyone charge to sit on a Tuesday night watching nba/ncaa basketball and nhl?

I don't believe so. I sat for free for Thursday and Friday football last year, at least.

Posted this in OOT: My wife and I were in town for a couple of days and while walking back to the car from a random antique store, a guy lost the leash on his dog and was trying to get it to come back to him (it was a little dog). When he finally got hold of it again, he started screaming at it and kicking it. Several people saw this and one guy called the police and hung around to point him out (he apparently went back into a slot bar or something) but we were wondering, do LV police care enough to do anything about this?

I'm in Vegas next week for CES- first time in a long time. I'll be working during the day, but I have nights free to play. This might be a stupid question, but are the games generally good wherever you go? I'm typically a 2/5 or 1/2 player, so I'm not looking for anything particularly big.
