+1 on Absinthe. While the show was great I also enjoyed being the butt of multiple jokes by the host. (Fair warning if you sit in the front rows I guess!)

I took my sister and nephew 3 weeks ago. We were in the 3rd row and I let my sister sit by the aisle. They thanked my sister and nephew for taking the time away from D&D to come out (which was a spot on joke).

I also went to the Magicians Study and was a big part of the show. It was an odd crowd and because the audience participates a lot it did have it's cringey moments. I very much did not want to be the main audience participant, but I think I did ok and definitely had fun.

What is the rake situation for low stakes NL in Vegas? 5+1 or higher?

Do any rooms offer comped shows, buffets, etc?

I know this isn't the right spot, but we do have some east coast people in this forum (mark, please move if you see fit). We went to Superfrico and the Hook last night. It's definitely not Vegas, but it is a breath of fresh air to have a show in AC.

If its a few hundred, the casino cage is fine.

Hmm just did it a few months ago so I should remember. Yes have to sign in to the website, I don’t think it works through the app. As I recall there are a few steps to get to the right place, maybe My Account or something similar, then somewhere to get to win/loss statement and W-2s. Sorry I’m so fuzzy about it. Oh, maybe search for win loss or tax documents.

Possibly dumb newbie question. I'll be traveling to Vegas for work this fall, and don't want to miss any of my team's games. I'll be staying at the Venetian, and the game I care most about is in an early slot on Sunday. Last year I noticed that some, but not all, of the seats in the sportsbook were marked as reserved. How early in the morning would I likely have to arrive to ensure a good chance of getting a seat at the sportsbook?


I acknowledge that it may be impossible for me to get a seat depending on my flight schedule. If that is the case, does anyone have recommendations for anywhere else near the Venetian that would likely be showing all the games, even mediocre games that wouldn't normally be getting national attention?

Don’t know about Venetian but there are no shortage of places.

In early slot I’d go to Dawg House and Sportsbook at Resorts World if Venetian doesn’t work out

Seats there are “reserved” but mostly just for a $25 bill easily met by a sandwich and a drink

Venetian sportsbook is currently under construction for a complete remodel, so no idea what the seating situation is gonna be until they finish construction and re-open

In Vegas for past few days. Able to walk back way from Vdara to Bellagio. Only thing blocked off is new hallway to Cosmo. The walkway is now enclosed and air conditioned, no longer exposed to the outside. Really nice.

Well that might settle the question of watching there.

Think it reopens this week if it isn't reopened already. As far as I can tell from a few pictures posted, seating has been greatly reduced.
