Remember you can only bet this before his come out roll. So you lose on 7/11 when he wins in one roll. You win on 2/3 and you push on 12. Otherwise you are rooting for him to get a 7 before his point, and ya you are a favorite.

Because donít pass moves 12 from a shooter loss to a push for the bettor, both pass and donít pass have casino advantage. Donít pass slightly better for the player but then socially youíre rooting against the table, who will by and large be rooting for everything the shooter is rooting for.

Am looking to book a room the last week of June and first week of July thru Total Rewards. It shows COMP on weekdays on the rate calendar for PH, Flamingo, Harrahs, Linq, Rio but when I add more than 1 night it starts to charge a daily rate. Anyone else run into this issue? I tried calling and spoke with 4 different people who were all useless and said it must be a tech error.

If you are only rated for one comp night, then if you try to book multiple nights, it willl comp you one night and charge you a normal rate for other nights. If it's charging you a daily rate for all nights, then that would be a tech error. These things tend to resolve in a day or two, so I'd consider waiting and seeing if you can't get it to book tomorrow night.

Check what your offer actually says about how many free nights you get.

This would be my guess. The flexible dates calendar doesn't know how many nights you are staying.

However, if TR said it was a tech error, then did you try to book while you had them on the phone and that was their excuse?

I don't have any offers online and they said the same on the phone. Even when I book multiple nights (which I already did at Harrah's) it doesn't have any nights comped. Also booked Park MGM which was cheaper than any of the Total Rewards options and I'll probably just end up staying there.

oh id never make that walk rom the rio to strip vice versa at night. was just crazy how cheap rio rates where compared to legit everything else, even excal (which has been way higher rates the past year compared to past years)

I see makes sense, when I first read it I was def thinking that the dont pass % was slightly in your fav but i guess with the vibe and all, it would kill the mood and vibe around the table.

thank you,

silly question but as my next trip approaches, I'm trying to occupy my mind. I've been to Vegas a bunch and I was told to always inlcude my rewards card when I pay for anything at the casino. When doing this, if I don't specify, am I gaining credit/points with the casino or are they applying any additional discounts? Also, what would the difference be between charging meals to the room versus just using my credit card at the time I purchase? My table games play is very minimal so I don't think this would be a situation where I can ever negotiate with someone at the end of my trip over comping some stuff. Is that really the only benefit?

They will rate your play in terms of theoretical loss and use that to send you offers/rooms/food. Youíll also earn ďpointsĒ based on your play and cash spend, which is just a modest rebate on your spend and thatís usually fungible for slot play, cash, or dining, depending on the program.

The short answer is there are reasons not to use one (eg youíre not going to play much and you donít want to *hurt* your rating), but most of the time it doesnít hurt. Wouldnít expect much from it based on your description though.

So the pit boss will make a subjective rating based on how well you played craps or BJ? IOW, go play BJ without correct strategy and you get a "better" rating in terms of offers? Curious exactly how it works.

Not really any advantage to playing ďpoorlyĒ they are still going to rate you based on your average bet and length of time spent betting this. (You can boost this is some small ways, pit critters are normally lazy and will rate you based on your first bet-make it double your normal bet for example). The more negative EV the games you play the higher your relative rating will be-for example-roulette players get higher ratings than Blackjack.

This of course all goes out the window with advantage play, but I donít think that was your question.

At tables it will be time X your avg bet ( X whatever they think that game does on avg in hands per hour X whatever they decide the game’s hold is, neither of which are controllable by you and both are preset for each game and probably haven’t changed in years).

Some bosses can rate higher/lower hands/hr based on # players and/or speed, and some can rate your “skill” basically either as AP, normal, weak. But in practice outside of HL everyone just gets normal and the average number of hands per hour. The pit boss isn’t doing a lot of work to rate your $10 BJ.

What the pit enters as your avg bet is going to be the only true controllable outside of time

That said lots of casinos will give you offers also based on actual losses. This is one reason why dealers want you to color up at the table after the sesh. Buy in in cash. This is the other reason the dealer always has to get approval to change your $200 buyin. You can also potentially rathole I guess if you play w your chips a lot. But you can only rathole small chips. Red chip tables will track black chips+ in and out of the tray.

Free concert line-up

Free concerts downtown. Couple of interesting choices. I might end my June residency in LV with 10k Maniacs (I've seen 'em post Natalie Merchant, still good). And I could absolutely plan on seeing STP (RIP Scott) in Nov. Saw the pandemic "live-casts" they did with the new kid (Purple and Core anniversaries?), was righteous.

And free is the right price.

I went to a few of the Downtown Rocks shows in 2019. They were still enjoyable, but VERY packed in, and uncomfortably hot. Make sure you have plenty of water. If you want to be anywhere near the front for more popular acts, I'd suggest getting there an hour early.

The Pretty Reckless, playing September 10, is a good female-fronted post-grunge band who I'd recommend.

So I bought a table for kinetic field Saturday night at edc and 5 of our group bailed. We had to prepay 9k in bottle service so I don’t want it to go to waste. Anyone want to go?

On another note, anyone in Vegas want to make a few hundred and pick 2 of us us up at like 6am Sunday morning at the speedway?

I recommend taking him up on that offer if you're in Vegas next weekend. That experience is pretty nuts. Bottle service wristband also gets you access to all other VIP areas.

No idea how stuff is set up these days, but the time we did it a couple years ago there was a dedicated VIP taxi access so you didn't have to wait in line for one. I can't remember any details though (or much else that happened after midnight).

Itís the same. You can get the bus or golf cart to take you to the front of wherever you want to be

Are there any strip(-adjacent) poker rooms that are not on bravo besides the three (resort world, sahara & westgate) that can be found on pokeratlas with live game info?

The 3 you mentioned are the only ones with live game info on Pokeratlas. I guess the better question would be - are there any rooms now which aren't on either PokerAtlas or Bravo?

That is what he asked...

Anyway, I can't swear there aren't any, but I don't know of any that aren't on either Bravo or PokerAtlas.

So heading to LV for a longer stay during WSOP - about 16 days - I'm mainly interested in a lot of cash games - mostly 2/5, maybe a little 5/10 - what's the best plan - focus on the cash games at the WSOP in Bally's and Paris - or non-WSOP rooms? I usually stay with Bellagio/Aria/Wynn not during WSOP - but wondering about playing at the WSOP sites. (I'll be at Paris for a week.)

there's gonna be lots of cash games everywhere as well as long waiting lists. Go wherever you feel like and/or check Bravo for list lengths. games will vary, no one place will have all the great games

Might be best to ask that question once the WSOP is up and running and people know how what the WSOP cash game area is like.

Because of the proximity between WSOP and center Strip poker rooms, I'd think the other rooms while be comparatively less busy if the WSOP handles cash games well and vice versa.

Any soft card room recommendations during the series? What room / stakes? I typically play 5-10, and would like the game to not be filled with pros and robots.
