Not my card, I just received a text. I received another saying it was charged briefly after that post. I was just wondering about my chances of freerolling the club. They were probably zero.

I'm driving my car to LV to catch a flight. I'm going to stay at a strip hotel on a Wednesday, check out Thursday morning, and catch my Thursday afternoon flight. My return flight gets in Sunday night, I'll check into a hotel, check out Monday morning, and drive home from there. I'd rather not pay $15/day (or whatever it is) to park my car at the airport if I can just leave it at a hotel and take a taxi/shuttle to and from McCarran. Would hotels care (or even realize) that I left my car in their garage for four days? What about at the valet...is four days too much?

I left my car at the MGM last time I flew out of Vegas for a couple of days. I think I left it there about 9 days, and had no trouble. I realized about halfway through my trip that MGM was probably the worst garage to leave my car in. Since it's so close to the airport, they might take more notice towards this sort of thing. The walk from car to taxicab line was also extremely long and annoying.

I dunno, I can't imagine they're going to tow your car....But I'm not a reliable source at all.

I have left my car in Mirage's garage for 3-4 days untouched after driving from Tucson and not needing to use it while in town.

From my understanding the (nitty) locals typically use Luxor/Mandalay/Excal for this.

Is anyone familiar with the "seasonal wine tasting menu" prix fixe at Michael Mina? Specifically, does the line "Specially Prepared for the Entire Table $78 Per Person" imply that wine is included, or does the line "Sommelier Wine Pairing $48" suggest that wine is NOT included?

Also, the above at Michael Mina vs the summer tasting menu at Latelier?

go to l'atelier imo unless you're a huge seafood fan, and it would be 78+48

Wine is extra, it is not included in the $78.

Would it be crazy to rent a house 5 miles off the strip with 15 people and no car?

I have heard stories from people about waiting 90 minutes for cabs to arrive in some places out of the hotel zone. Is this true or BS? I know getting around would not be super simple but cabs are fine if the wait is not forever. 90 minutes seems pretty extreme and would be a major bummer.

Many thanks.

So none of your own wheels = dealbreaker for renting a house 5 miles off strip in your opinion?

yes. rent a car maybe... there are places ( i think enterprise is best) that will rent to under 25'ers if thats the issue. unless you plan to hang out in your house all the time, renting a car would probably be cheaper than cabbing all month anyway.

as an alternative, you could always throw down a few hundred bucks for a scooter... it shouldnt be that bad as long as youre not going to be here for summer.

are within an easy walk to a big casino? if so, most of them will have cab lines. Note that even for 5 miles youre probably talking like a $20 ride each way.

Did you check the Fashion Show Mall? There's at least some kind of electronics store in there because I was able to buy a charger for my cell phone one year. If not, the people at the electronics store could probably direct you to the nearest Best Buy or something.

This is for 3 nights not a month. it is not really about the money. no one will be cabbing alone. it is only about wanting to party and gamble and being 5 miles away and no cabs will come out in a reasonable time.

I'll be in Vegas tomorrow until Monday and will be playing poker for most of the day but after dark if anybody wants to play ball at sunset park I'm down. Just bring your wallet and send a pm of when you'll be there. Also come alone.

Hey

We're staying off strip for 3 weeks so we have a car, but one night we all wanted to get smashed so had to cab it.
I ordered a cab about for a set time (10.30pm) like 1 hr before it was needed, it came at 10.15 and he didn't put the meter on till we were all in the car at 10.40. Pretty good service imo.

I think it was with ABC taxis....
