i was worried about that that is shitty, woudl you guys recommend walking the strip at night> from excal to flaingo because I have done that before at 3am but I understand orelans is way more "rurally" or not as trafficked like the strip obv.

I wouldn't walk to that in n out at night from the orleans fwiw...and not because of the distance. there is a wendy's, a taco bell & a mcdonalds at sahara and decatur if that helps. if I had to walk somewhere for food from the orleans...that's where I'd go.
oh, i didnt see that on map.

im debating wether this year to stay at excal or orelans but if I ant to play o8 I might as well stay at orelans no need for me to be at strip unless I want to be there for just a day

Excalibur to flamingo is totally fine lol, not comparable

I think the odds of something happening to you walking orleans to in n out are minuscule but still orders of magnitude higher than if you were on the strip. I mean Trop is highly trafficked it’s not like there’s a lot of ways you can be abducted and your organs harvested. Probably.

Seriously I’m sure you’ll be fine, even if uncomfortable, just don’t carry a lot of cash

If on the way to In-N-Out you wanted drugs or a hooker then its a good route.

thanks for input. doesnt seem like i am brave enough to do that then. i do consider hookers and drug dealers along the way kinda dangerous FOR ME/to me kinda uncomfy w that

I've walked on west trop after midnight several times, I've run into hookers and drug dealers a couple times, both categories were always friendly. Never at all felt threatened or endangered that I can recall. But I also wouldn't want to walk from the frickin orleans all the way to in n out cause thats a damn hike. If its the in n out I'm thinking of anyway. That's going to be like at least a half hour walk.

Edit: From your original question I see you also asked about WingStop, what what I remember thats MUCH closer to the Orleans but would still be like 15 minutes imo. I would also expect you see less foot traffic in that area. You'll start to see more people closer to In N out, theres a liquor store, 4-5 fast food places and a one of those extended stay suites places over that way.

Is there a cirque/show thread? I know I've seen recommendations in multiple threads (maybe the hotel review thread is best?). Just booked the end of June and the beginning of July. Will probably see Absinthe again, but wanted to know if anyone has seen Atomic Saloon and if it was any good. Thanks in advance!

Is there anything for kids to do in Vegas ? I know there’s wet and wild which we will do. But what else ? I’m speaking for a five and seven year old specifically. Anything on the strip ?

Circus Circus has an indoor theme park called Adventuredome

I dunno what kids like but they might enjoy the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay.

TI has a Marvel thing.

There's some comedy show with pets at the Miracle Mile

Exclaibur has a Tournament of Kings show and there's an arcade downstairs

Maybe the High Roller?

Rio also had mini golf last I checked.
The mob museum might be cool depending on age.
Neon sign museum as well would be more personaltiy dependent then age on whether a kid would like it. I would've enjoyed it as a child but others certainly wouldnt have.
Doesn't the shipping container park have like an actual "park" for children with swings and slides and stuff? Or maybe I'm misremembering

Are discounted tickets to shows still a thing? I remember 10 years ago when I was there, I went early each morning to a Tix4Tonight stand in the Fashion Show Mall. Is that still the best thing to do, or are there websites selling the same deals?

vegas.com

I dont recommend vegas.com for show tickets. I found that many of their special discounts were BS. I found better regular priced tickets directly from the showroom/Ticketmaster. In my opinion they are scamming folks.

Another outlet is https://www.tix4tonight.com/ with several sales booths around town but I would still compare their offers to the legit source to make sure the deal is real.

Edit to add: One more site I've used with legit discounts is https://Goldstar.com but always compare.

Heading back to Vegas after not going for 4 years.

How’s the current poker room landscape? When I first started going back in the early 2010s it was the Venetian as king and during my last trips it was all Aria. Is Aria still the big room? What new stuff has shown up in the past 4 years to look forward to?
