I'm staying at Excalibur at the end of the month, I'll find a dispensary no bother but if I want to go for a smoke where should I go? Especially an end of night one, hotels are non smoking from what I've read?

I stayed there last month. Def could smell people smoking on my floor. Same with Tropicana too

The taxis with Med Men ads on them are red and it appears they have actual delivery vehicles as well. Odd and cryptic way to refer someone to their dispensary though.

But the guy specifically said he would have an easy time finding a dispensary, just didn't know where he could use the product.

That is an issue here. Basically the law made MJ legal for people who live in Las Vegas, but it really doesn't provide for tourists in any way, as it's still illegal to smoke anywhere other than your own private home. There has been talk about opening some "smoking lounges", but none have yet been approved.

I often smell weed outdoors on the strip, outdoors downtown, and occasionally at music clubs. But only a bit more often than before the dispensaries opened.
I'm pretty sure the local cops have a lot more to worry about than chasing down the perpetrator even when they smell it.

But I wouldn't recommend lighting up right in front of a cop; that would definitely qualify as being a moron, UNLESS you didn't know that it is still technically illegal to use anywhere other than private residences. I'm afraid a lot of tourists are uninformed about the details of the law.

any suggestions for a place to watch the national championship game on monday? just a group of 4 30-35 yr old out of towners, a place w good food and drinks and not overly crowded. doesnt have to be on the strip, anywhere within a 20 min drive is ok

I stand corrected (by myself): I just read in the LV Weekly that there is one public place where marijuana can be legally consumed in Las Vegas, though I imagine only the stuff that you purchase there. It's run by the Paiute Tribe, and is just off Main Street, about a mile north of Fremont.

There’s lots of sports bars, many will be crowded. Tempted to say umami burger SLS or Pub 365 at Tuscany. Born and Raised is my jam, but it’s a hike. I think pretty much everyone goes to some local bar in their hood: sporting life, hooters, PTs/Sierra Gold, GOAT, ...

im deflated after hearing the non great part LOL. which of the two would be better? the walk to in n out or wingstop?

just wish orleans had more late night options around 11 at night, I thnk even TGI fridays is closed by then??

Walking 20 minutes each way in that part of town for food doesn't really make sense. If you need it that bad use one of the food ordering apps.

i like to walk for exercise and felt it woudl be maybe walkabout. plus the apps are all like 10$ more so feel walking kills one bird two stones typa deal

I wouldn't walk to that in n out at night from the orleans fwiw...and not because of the distance. there is a wendy's, a taco bell & a mcdonalds at sahara and decatur if that helps. if I had to walk somewhere for food from the orleans...that's where I'd go.
